The original Ag Power Couple, Richard Kunde and Sarlaee McClelland Kunde energized and built a multitude of generational explosions and expansions of good farming in Sonoma County. With their passing, they left a carefully crafted plan to keep giving and building and preserving.In this episode host Clark Wolf speaks with the three long time Sonoma County Agricultural pros - and dear Kunde intimates - about their work with the Richard Kunde and Saralee McClelland Kunde Endowment Fund. Chefs Roy Ellamar and Jennifer Murphy Ellamar on Savoring Sonoma: The Hour
For more than twenty years Roy and Jennifer Murphy Ellamar have wanted to live and work in Sonoma County. As others in the world of food and restaurants, they know the real value of our community, its farms, food and winemakers. Now they’ve taken up shop at the new $44-million restaurant in the expansion of NorCal Public Media’s neighbor, the Graton Resort and Casino. Chef Roy is Hilo raised with Fillipino and Pacific Islander family influences. With major stints in Chicago, LA and other top kitchens, he landed in Las Vegas where he garnered much acclaim. He leads the new rooftop spot AVA’s kitchens. His wife, Chef Jennifer Murphy Ellamar is of Vietnamese descent and is the Food and Beverage Director of the expanded property. They have lots to share - including news of the new 40 acre farm - with Host Clark Wolf.
