Sisterhood of the Traveling Podcast

Welcome to the Sisterhood of the Traveling Podcast! We are Hanna, Alyssa, and Teal, three friends and English majors who can’t help but over-analyze everything we read, watch, see, and hear. With life scattering us to the winds, we need a way to keep in touch long-distance (and spare the rest of our non-English-major friends and family the pain of enduring constant overexcited critical discussions). That’s where this podcast comes in. If you’re into rambly talks, geeky girls, feminism, friendship, or Harry Potter, you just might be ready to join the Sisterhood.

    Hamilton

This time, we’re taking a shot at Hamilton, the Broadway musical and cultural phenomenon that has blown as all away. All three of us have been helpless to this beautiful brain-child of Lin-Manuel Miranda about the life of Alexander Hamilton, and in this podcast, we only begin to share our many thoughts and feelings. Miranda has truly created something you cannot say "no" to. Tune in if you want to hear about our undying love for these characters and their stories. -Alyssa For reference: "When Love Arrives" - Sarah Kay & Phil Kaye https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdJ6aUB2K4g Next up: The Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany

BOOK CLUB: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Our first book club pick is The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Anne Brashares. This book, probably obviously, gave us the idea for the name and premise of this podcast. It is also a book about teen girls who have stronger and more stable relationships with each other than with the boys they meet (and kiss!)on their summer adventures. Here's to magical girl-girl friendships and to magical pants! -Teal Next up: Hamilton
