Small Talk
by Dan Vockins
After years of working with children, I believe they have much to teach us. They are naturally brilliant at being present and just enjoying the moment they are in. They seem to deal with difficulties such as loss, life changes and even global pandemics, in such positive way. They are often honest and can put themselves first. Yet, children’s voices can be difficult to hear over those of adults. I am curious to know how young people will respond when I give them a subject to discuss, without judgement or expectation from any adult. What do they really think? What can we learn from them?
