So Much Potential
by Kara C
Hi, I’m Kara. I made this podcast because there are things I wish someone had told me. It took me nearly 37 years to start learning how to work with my different brain instead of gainst it. This podcast is for anyone who’s felt like too much, not enough, or somehow both. It’s for people who have ADHD, are neurodivergent, sensitive, anxious, depressed—or anyone trying to love their chaotic, beautiful mind. It’s not hacks or productivity tips (though I’ll share some). It’s a supportive voice in your ear and an offering up of new perspectives.

Having a Stuck Day
This episode is about what I call a stuck day—when you’re trying to do everything “right,” but nothing clicks and you keep hitting roadblocks. I was having a major Stuck Day while recording this. Instead of spiraling or forcing it, I decided to treat the whole thing like a personal experiment.I talk about:• What a stuck day feels like for me, and the patterns I’ve noticed over time• The tension between trying to “push through” and completely checking out• An “Unstuck Protocol” I made up and tried• A journaling method that helps me hear from a smarter, calmer version of myself• What shifted once I took a step back, took care of myself and reflected on what wasn't working. The Unstuck Protocol:Take care of your physical body — eat, hydrate, stretch, bathroom. Whatever your body needs. Taking a walk is a great one!Do something you actually want to do (even if it’s “off task.”) For me it was start recording this podcast!Journal: • Why am I feeling stuck today? • What can I do to get myself unstuck?I talk through my real answers to those questions—and how it helped me get unstuck. Maybe you can try this if you're feeling stuck and let me know how it went in the comments!

A Big Fear of Tiny Tasks
This episode is about how something as tiny as a to-do can feel completely terrifying, and what we can actually do about it. From unpaid invoices to unopened mail, these “small” tasks often come wrapped in boredom, shame, overwhelm, and fear. But what if we stopped treating them like burdensom tasksand started treating them like fears to overcome? We talk about:• Why tiny admin tasks can feel so huge and a recent scary experience of mine• How fear conditioning and shame create emotional landmines• Rewiring your brain with tiny wins, on purpose• Why “just do it” actually can work, with the right approach• Creating dopamine, not dreadPlus: your pep talk to get moving on whatever task you've been putting off for way longer than you've like. If this resonates, forward it to someone else you know who’s drowning in to-dos they can’t seem to start. And if you like what you’re hearing, leave a review—it helps more than you know.

Do it Badly
There are a thousand things I’d change about this episode… and that’s exactly the point. In this off-the-cuff episode, I talk about why starting messy is better than not starting at all. From buying a 3-string kid’s guitar to recording this while cleaning my kitchen (spoiler: not ideal), this is encouragement to do things your own way—even if it’s the “wrong” way.We explore:• Why doing something badly is better than not doing it• How low-pressure entry points build real confidence• Letting go of perfectionism to make space for joy, play, and possibility• Why “creating energizes you, consuming drains you”You’ll also get a very imperfect but heartfelt pep talk. Because sometimes that’s all you need to remember: you don’t have to be amazing to start, but starting might make you feel amazing. If you liked this, share it with an undercover perfectionist friend. Or record your own podcast in your kitchen.

You're Doing Your Best
In this quick first episode, I share why I started this podcast and talk a bit about my history with ADHD, anxiety, and perfectionism and what it took to actually make progress toward living the life I wanted. I also discuss how posting my PepTalk audios on Reddit inspired me to finally put myself out there. I finish up the episode with a little Pep Talk for you, the listener, to remind you how great you are.
