I refer to the "devil you know" as the familiarity trap for 1 simple reason : we choose to deal with the devil we are familiar with instead of facing the unknown. For some of us, dealing with something that we don't yet know how to handle, that we allow that fear to keep us in stagnation.Because we know what to expect in this place, we feel safe. The issue is that if we never make any attempts to try something new, we aren't allowing ourselves to be challenged- which is how we grow. It takes a level of maturity to acknowledge that with every decision that is made, we are manifesting our own reality. When we get to a place in our lives where we can exist with this level of integrity, then we can see the signs that tell us where we are headed. Signs form your body, brain, or the world around you will show you the foresight needed to make the decisions that are most in your favor.These signs also give us clear indication of the things that are NOT for us. It is up to us to recognize these signs and to do what it right for us and for the highest good of everyone/ everything (that is possible). No one expects you to end world hunger or to quit an addiction in one day- yet it's best to try and see what you CAN do today... We now know that we all have this internal bias that we see the world through (perspective) and that it is shaped by the nature and nurturing of our existence. This being said everyone's perspective has a structure of the self viewing the outside world. Our lens is SUBJECTIVE. It is in the absorption of the external to the internal where we begin to identify with a situation instead of allowing it to exist as it really is, outside of ourselves.In other words... we allow our internal bias to project out onto the happenings around us and vice versa. When we allow our minds to engage in certain patterns, we are no longer in control of our thoughts and they are in fact controlling us. We have now relinquished the responsibility that comes with the beauty of experiencing this life. Yes, we all have ups and downs as we journey on our own path, yet is is through awareness of self that we are granted the opportunity to truly observe, not only what is happening around us but what is occurring within as well.We take hold of this awareness through presence of mind, and in turn, we are taking back control of ourselves.Thanks again and wish you all the best on your SOL Journey☀️

When we allow our minds to wander to the degree that we are no longer in control of our thoughts and they are in fact controlling us, we are now relinquishing the responsibility that comes with the beauty of experiencing this life.
