    Episode 7. Peace of Mind

    In 2022, Mary Alice underwent a bone marrow transplant and called our House "home" for over 100 days during recovery. Despite the uncertainty, her bright personality and positive attitude never wavered. Listen to hear firsthand what RMHC Eastern WI meant to Mary Alice and her family!

    Episode 6. Weathering the Storm

    In April 2018, a terrible blizzard hit the better part of the state. After a long labor and emergency C-section, Ann and her husband learned that daughter, Emily, had undetected heart defects and needed to be transported from Oshkosh through the storm to receive treatment at Children's Wisconsin. After four long days, the Potratz family could be reunited and remain close thanks to our Ronald McDonald House.

    Episode 5. A Chance to Be a Family

    When an accident with a powerwasher had then 15-year-old Brett Jedwabny fighting for his life, all that mattered to parents Tyler and Nicole was being by his side. From the darkest days to his road to recovery, our Ronald McDonald House offered the Jedwabny’s support, normalcy and a chance to be a family.

    Episode 4. Finding Comfort Amid the Chaos

    When families have to travel for their children's critical medical care, their worlds are turned upside down. Our Ronald McDonald House is there to take care of these families, offering the comforts of home and a community of support when it's needed most. Hear firsthand from the Lepper family how our House provided normalcy when they stayed for over 100 nights while daughter, Brooke, received treatment for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

    Families don’t plan to receive the news that their child is very sick and that the medical care they need is across the state, the country or maybe even on the other side of the globe. Not to mention the anxiety and concern about determining where they will stay and how they will pay for it all. Our home away from home exists to take care of these families, offering the comforts of home and a community of support when it’s needed most.
