Washed By Cole
This week on Speak Ur Perspective we kick things off with a few Mark Twain gems courtesy of SB as he updates the crew on his book club. Real-life parenting moments follow as Face and Bun chime in on their weeks. Bun shares the awkward and honest conversation around his daughter's period and what it teaches us about growth, communication, and perspective. They also get a bit comical as they share some disaster stories from their elementary school days. After the break they pivot to the culture, as Khaby Lame reportedly locks in a wild $975 million deal and what that means for creators, influencers, and the new definition of "silent power." Next up, DJ Clue sets the streets on fire with Birthday Blizzard as J. Cole pops out with a surprise mixtape. The big question is… should Drake drop Iceman right after or let the moment breathe? The crew debate. They give a quick shoutout to Maestro Fresh Wes, Michie Mee, and hip hop group Muzion as they were recently honoured by Canada Post with stamps for Black History Month, before they wrap things up with a new music pick from Bun highlighting Styles P's new release "Ride In, Ride Out", and close with SB's Scamma of the Week, because somebody's always trying it. 48 Hours In DR
In this episode, we jump between music, comedy, sports, and global politics because well, why not? We start by getting some things off our chests as a crew as we tip toe around Face's recent getaway to Dominican Republic. From there we catch up with SB and Bun which leads to us getting into Druski's viral church skit. Is it just comedy, social commentary, or both, we discuss. On the world stage, we react to Mark Carney and Donald Trump speaking at the World Economic Forum, unpacking the optics, the messaging, and what it could mean for the global economy. We hit the diamond next with Bo Bichette signing with the New York Mets, talking fit, expectations, and what this move signals for the Jays and Mets' future. Nxt we briefly talk J. Cole's latest release Disc 2, Track 2, what Cole might really be saying beneath the surface and does he still care to about the rap game. Music, laughs, headlines, and hot takes—all in one conversation. Tap in. Role Players (feat. Corey Kareem)
In this episode of Speak Ur Perspective, the conversation goes everywhere you didn't expect and exactly where it needs to. After a brief catch-up of our time away we break down the headlines buzzing online, including the controversy and speculation surrounding claims of Trump ordering the arrest of Venezuela's President Nicolás Maduro, and what that says about global politics, power, and media narratives. Then we switch gears to the 2026 Olympics, questioning if anybody cares and if it'll shift the global energy. To wrap it up, we get uncomfortably real with a topic nobody wants to talk about but everybody's thought about: bad hygiene. From awkward personal encounters to difficult conversations with partners. We discuss when to speak up, when to let it go, and how honesty can save relationships (or completely ruin the vibe). Tap in for some humour and perspective. 50 Cents of Joe and Busta
This week on Speak Your Perspective, the conversation is loud, layered, and unapologetically real. We kick things off with reaction from a recently surfaced clip courtesy of the Joe Budden Podcast addressing the struggles of cratives. We tackle a bit of the brief beef between 50 Cent and Marlon Wayans where comedy, ego, and hip-hop energy collide in a way only these two can deliver. Then we step into rap royalty with the ultimate alpha debate: Nas or Jay-Z? Bars, business, presence—who really carries the bigger aura, and why? Things take a hilarious turn as we break down the internet moment where Busta Rhymes gets mistaken for Tracy Morgan—and what that says about celebrity culture, perception, and timing. After revisiting the clip from Joe Budden, we shed some light on the current state of Toronto podcasting with Marlon of the Extra Gravy Podcast and Cityboy JJ on The Man Dem show unpacking recent takes from fellow creatives across the city, chiming in on the "Toronto-man" slang, the energy, the origins, and what these moments reveal about today's conversations across the city and industry. We then go from laughs to industry shockwaves, as SB makes mention to the implications around Netflix purchasing Warner Bros. What would that mean for film, TV, creators, and the future of streaming as we know it? Bun also gives us an artist feature for the week, hometown singing sensation Osé dlivers a 4 pack EP that Bun introduces to the crew. Tap in for sharp opinions, culture talk, and unfiltered perspective—because around here, we don't just think it, we speak it. The new Netflix documentary executive produced by 50 Cent leads to an interesting conversation also addressing accountability, and what it means when powerful people finally get exposed. Following the first break they shift gears and get real about depression, how it shows up, and the challenges that come with fighting the silent battle. And you know things couldn't end without a little chaos. They dive into the world of dating again by questioning what good and bad their ex's would have to say about them.
