    Hulda Speaks to Me

This track is inspired by a visit to Hulda Ostman's grave site near Piney, Manitoba. Unbeknownst to me it was, at the time, a popular geocaching site. She died in 1912 at just over two years of age, which go me thinking about her and hoping that others were doing the same. The headstone is on private land now with No Trespassing signs posted, so I imagine she seldom gets a visitor any more. She is still in my thoughts, though.

The Best Part of Hello - Stephen K Roberts

"The best part of hello, is what we don't yet know." The thrill of discovery, the fear of being liked, complacency in the familiar, are all explored in this genre-defying tune that blends blues with folk, world, country, and pop rock influences. Its overall upbeat approach belies a underlying angst in revealing our true selves.

    Pass The Cup

Will you be ready when the powers of the universe pass the cup? This ska-flavoured tune was a lot of fun to arrange. It was hard to hold back on wall-to-wall horns and steel drums, but in the end, I think I added just the proper amount of flavour. Hope you enjoy.
