STRIKE ON MIX #23 MIX: SHANDA [ABYSS / HK / BRL] @djshanda Recoded live from Strike On Based in Berlin, Shanda is a DJ and co-founder of the ABYSS (HK) collective in Hong Kong. With a classical music background as a flutist and a passion for rave parties, she started her DJ journey in 2021 and has played countless shows in Hong Kong's underground clubs such as OMA, Social Room, Void and more. She performed at one of Hong Kong's biggest music festivals, Clockenflap 2023, and was invited as the main headliner of Arcan's club night (Vietnam). Seeking musical inspiration, Shanda recently moved to Berlin, Germany, to deepen her culture and style. REBEL SELECTION #13 MIX: LORENZO NARI / AWARENESS OF REALITY ARTWORK: NEROH Dopo esserci conosciuti al Nocturnal dove abbiamo condiviso la consolle con una super guest come Alienata e dopo aver scoperto lo stile e l'ecletticità di questo digger e selector, per la Rebel Selection #13 siamo onorati di presentare un mix di ben 2h di chicche selezionate e mixate da Lorenzo Nari. Nato nel 1987, nell’eco di Robert Smith che canta “Show me how you do it and I’ll promise you that I’ll run away with you”, è figlio di un’epoca dark, caratterizzata da sonorità wave e post punk. E' cresciuto ascoltando “Disintegration” dei Cure, “Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness” degli Smashing Pumpkins, i suoni acidi dei Prodigy, il punk dei Crass e le chitarre elettroniche dei Soulwax. I suoi set sono viaggi musicali che spaziano dall’italo disco, la new-beat e la new wave, alla techno, l’electro e l’ebm. Ha iniziato a mixare nel 2014 ed è in poco tempo diventato resident dei party di Supernova nel centro Italia. Nel 2018 si è unito alla crew milanese di Orbiter. REBEL SELECTION #12 MIX: LECONÈ / FACE YOUR FEARS Con la Rebel Selection #12 torniamo a trovare gli amici spagnoli, ma questa volta siamo nel cuore della techno andalusa, Granada. Presentiamo LeConè (@leconeandtramx) membro fondatore e dei collettivi T-label (@t.label) e The Laboratory Collective . Resident del Vortex, il format più dark e underground della discoteca Industrial Copera di Granada, apre la pista a numerosi ospiti di alto calibro adattando il proprio stile di volta in volta. Dj e produttore, che ancora non rilascia suoi pezzi ma decide di tenerli in inedito finché non avrà trovato la sua dimensione specifica, inserendoli spesso però nei suoi dj set. Il suo stile è caratterizzato da una techno rapida, piena di ritmo, casse e percussioni, spesso con influenze di altri generi come electro e breaks. Disfrútenlo ravers!

REBEL SELECTION #9 MIX: DSTM In questa edizione della Rebel Selection vogliamo proporre un artista tanto misterioso quanto meritevole, il suo nome d'arte è DSTM (@dstm_music). Artista che da poco si è creato questo alias ma che già ha raggiunto risultati impressionanti nel mondo dell'elettronica contemporanea, sia a livello di popolarità sia a livello di pura underground music culture. Dstm sceglie di presentarsi al pubblico con un passamontagna bicolore, come a voler nascondere la sua vera identità, molti pensano che sia solo un effetto scenico, altri invece ritengono sia una scelta impostata dal producer dietro quella maschera. Le sue produzioni infatti sono qualitativamente eccelse e molti ritengono che si tratti di un produttore già affermato in altri generi che vuole dar sfogo anche al suo lato più rave, caratterizzato da una fast techno con melodie spesso fluttuanti.
