"Níl aon rud níos fearr ná lá ar an trá, Na tonnta ag snámh, ’s gach rud go breá, An farraige ag oscailt mar bhéal an domhain, Teidí, Áine, ’s Mamaí ó Ard na hAbhann, There’s nothing better than a day at the beach, And the world’s biggest sandpit just within reach..." This bilingual story was inspired by favourite Irish words selected by children from across Wexford through a series of workshops in libraries during the summer of 2025. It is suitable for ages 5+. Kamil and Julia wake to an overnight snowfall. They can't wait to go outside to build a snowman. Thus begins the short life of The Snowman who, 'born' in December, 'lives' only until the new year... but a life full of incident, observation, emotion and poetry. Based on the author's poem 'The Snowman' from his collection this is a story for children and their parents. Dee Dee and Her Special Day by Peter McCluskey
Dee-Dee Nee-Bee-Ess-Kee is 12 years old and she loves to daydream and to play with her little dog, Bobek. Mieszka w małym miasteczku niedaleko pięknego lasu. One day she decides not to go to school but, instead, to go to the forest to have a special day all to herself. "Bobek - I will have a fantastic day and do all the things I want to do," she tells her little dog. Bobek jumps up and down and runs around in circles - jest taki podekscytowany. Early in the morning Dee Dee sets off for the forest to have her special day. But...how will Dee-Dee's day turn out to be? How special will it be? Cóż, dowiedzmy się, co się stanie...... However, the feeling of belonging was for him the most important find of them all. ------- Poszukiwanie zaginionego superbohatera. Odkrycie znaczenia prawdziwej przyjaźni. Uruchomienie własnego start-upu napędzanego cukrem. Ignacy, 9-letni chłopiec z Polski, znalazł to wszystko na zamkniętym osiedlu w północnym Dublinie. Jednak poczucie przynależności było dla niego najważniejszym znaleziskiem ze wszystkich.
