Superstition (Stevie Wonder Cover - Demo)
Recently rediscovered this hastily recorded (one take and one track!) cover of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" from 2012 that I did for the Elephant 6 Townhall's old Hoursong compilations. The challenge was to write and record a song in an hour or less, and cover songs were okay. I had been scrambling to finish up my two covers for the 2012 Fanfare (the Instruments' "Ode to the Sea" and The Music Tapes' "Takeshi and Elijah", both of which you can find on my profile here), but still wanted to do something for that week's Hoursong, so I learned and recorded this very quickly, hence the moments of interest (read: flaws, hah). Considering re-recording this, not under a deadline, for a forthcoming project. I do not claim to have written this song, nor to be Stevie Wonder. Just wanted to share this somewhere.
