Alien Scare
This is a piece reminiscient of alien invasion movies. There is a big siren in the middle, signalling the new presence of something dangerous, and the mood becomes more insistent, and a bit more chase-y. Enjoy!

The Getaway
I originally heard the intro to this as a Beverly Hills Cop throwback, changing to a (hopefully)more updated groove on the back half. The bridge-like section in the middle came as quite a nice surprise when I tried the small-ensemble jazzy horns thing. This has been a thrilling tune to work on. For those of you who prefer my other stuff, I'll get some more of that going soon, too. I'm having lots of fun now with the jazzy sax stuff. I've got another airy, atmospheric piece on the back burner, smoldering, dark and foreboding. Frightening, even, hopefully.

Shmooz
This song is a tribute to Grover Washington, Jr., and so many other funky, funky bands from the 70s.

Life Is Short
This is an instrumental, in the thoughtful, memory-evoking genre, if there is one. It is somewhat lyrical, but rhythmic at the same time. Instruments are limited - drums, piano, guitars and saxophone. I tried not to compress a lot, to retain dynamics, but it's impossible sometimes. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys!

Sklounce
This tune has a persistent bass line topped with a brush snare that was inspired by the film the Untouchables, and Ennio Morricone's always-amazing ideas. The tune then morphs into a funkier groove, and it's goodbye Ennio. Oh, and thanks to Keegan Michael-Key for the title!

TheBomb
This tune is kind of a modern take on a Perry Mason sort of theme... sandwiching a rappy B section.

Homecoming
I wrote this thinking about western frontiersmen, returning to home and family after a long time away. Then my son said it sounds like the homecoming of a prince, or royalty of some kind, for a coronation or something. I agreed. The other thing about this track is I have another section written. It's a shmaltzy, western-sounding ballad with portamento strings and everything. Except I couldn't figure out where to go next. Add to that the fact that I decided, as a joke, to add a harmonica to make it sound funnier. And now I can't hear it any other way. Better to simply end the tune at its current spot (which transitions into the other section), and call it(un)finished. That's my two weeks, and it's time to move on!

Friendly In - Game Menu
This is a loop appropriate for a friendly, wii-inspired, in-game menu.

Tech Groove
This is a cool little electronica groove that builds, and adds yet another hint of the spice road, with the Guzheng contrasting the other leads. This piece is also kind of inspired by the music from the Matrix film, which was, I think, a unique approach to the chase scenes especially.

March Of Silk
This is a long, drudging march through presumably unfavourable territory...

Secret Mission
This is a mock-up of a film-noire theme. This took a couple of weeks, and, as is often the case - is begging for more work. But I like the themes, and it has potential!

Destiny Cutscene Audio Only
This is a mockup I did for the final cutscene in Destiny. I found the video with dialogue and foley effects online, and composed the music forcing myself not to listen to the original.

Retro Halloween
This is a retro-gaming looping background that fits well with a spooky-themed, pixelated sort of videogame.
