The 8 Minute Podcast

Welcome to the 8 minute podcast, where 8 minutes is all it takes to transform your day!During the Covid-19 pandemic, a study revealed that an 8-minute phone call with a loved one could lift people from feelings of low energy, anxiety, or depression, into a state of mindfulness, groundedness, and gratitude. Inspired by this, I wanted to take that concept further—bringing the same impact to a broader audience. And so, this podcast was born: a space where every listener can experience the power of an 8-minute "call"... or podcast.Let's make every minute count.Zoe

    Truth isn't always loud

In today's episode, we touch upon something that we tend to forget: our truth(s) is(are) not always loud.We often hear that "I found my truth", but I think truth is not something to be found, but rather something that we create.Over the years, I know I am not the only one who has learned (and was taught) to "de-trust" myself. What I mean by that is that all the gadgets we are using, the ones telling us how much we slept last night, how much we should or should not eat, ... all these gadgets have brought us further away from our intuition, from our truths. We use an external referential, rather than our own notion or sense of self. Our truth is often subtle; it is like someone whispering to us: "hey should we do this? Hey, should we get back to doing this?". Truth is calm, it is confident, it is waiting for us with open arms. It is a subtle nudge to get us back on track. It can be goosebumps when listening to reading your favorite author, it can be found in a sigh of relief. Yes, truth often feels like relief, it feels like letting go.On the other side of the spectrum, we have (what I like to call) the "noise" (whether internal or external) that is tinted with ego, with fear, with conditioning.Knowing from which place we act can be so beneficial for our overall well-being. It can allow us to decide our next steps. As always, to do so, we need... (drum roll please) awareness and patience! (The ULTIMATE combo)I hope this episode resonates with you in one way or another. Please feel free to share it with people you love.Remember that all you need... is 8 minutes. As always, with love, cheers, Z

The feeling is old, the choice is new

Welcome back to the 8 Minute Podcast! After two weeks off, I am back with another episode! I missed you!Today, I want to share with you a thought I had about change. The fantasy we often contemplate about change: how this process should be accompanied by a huge and rapid transformation; and how change should equate the absence of struggle, is somewhat a fallacy. But here is something that I observed in myself: I can feel a certain way, and decide to act differently AND in a way that serves me.Repeat after me: despite feeling a certain way, I can choose a different action. And that is how real and sustainable change happens, overtime, and can lead to profound inner transformation.I hope these few words resonate with you.Remember that all you need… is 8 minutes. As always, with love, cheers, Z

What the fear of looking stupid steals

What if the fear of looking stupid is the only thing holding you back?In this episode, we explore why your dreams require courage, not perfection — and why being willing to look like a fool might just be your greatest strength.A gentle but firm reminder that some dreams will never bloom unless you're willing to be bad at them first; and that being willing to look and feel like a fool is what separates the ones who move from the ones who only wish.As always, with love, cheers, Z

The freedom of changing who we are

What if you could let go of an identity that no longer fits you? What if growth means rewriting the labels you've always clung to?In this episode, we explore the roles and labels we carry — like “I’m a hard worker”, “I’m tough on myself”, or “I’m always the responsible one”. Through solo reflection, life shifts, or quiet moments of honesty, we sometimes discover parts of ourselves we never show others — or never even knew existed. This is a reminder that you’re allowed to change. You’re allowed to grieve the roles you’ve outgrown, and you’re allowed to try on new ones that feel more aligned with the person you’re becoming. In this episode, we talk about:Why shifting identity feels uncomfortable — but freeingThe power of shedding old roles and choosing new onesHow every label has taught you somethingA simple exercise to help you act from your truest self this weekTune in for 8 minutes of reflection, motivation, and the gentle reminder that change is always possible — and often, exactly what we need.As always, with love, cheers, Z

    Why you can't heal alone

We often talk about healing like it's a solo journey — journaling, retreats, morning routines, self-awareness. And whilst those things matter, there’s a truth we rarely say out loud: some lessons can only be learned in the presence of others. You can do all the inner work in the world, but until someone misunderstands you, triggers you, or sees you fully — the real test hasn’t started. Growth isn’t just internal. It’s relational. Some wounds only surface in connection. Some truths only arise when they’re mirrored back to us.In this episode, we explore why letting others in is not a weakness but a courageous next step in your healing. Why being tested, challenged, even hurt, can bring up new layers of awareness. And why self-awareness without relational awareness creates blind spots. So yes, do the solo work — but don’t stop there. Let life send you the people who will poke, pull, and hold you.✨ Plus: a weekly practice to take one small, intentional relational risk — and see what it reveals.New episodes every Monday on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube. And remember: all you need is 8 minutes. As always, with love, cheers, Z

Listen to the symptoms, discover the root

This week’s episode dives into a simple truth that can change everything: it’s rarely about the toothpaste, the late reply, or the missed call.Big reactions often have deeper roots — unspoken needs, old wounds, tender parts of us asking to be seen or held or protected. But it’s not just the hard feelings that carry clues.Peace, joy, lightness? We are made of parts

This week’s episode feels a little different. I debated whether to record it at all… but I promised to always be honest here — and this is what honesty looks like right now.Lately, I have been moving through a quiet kind of heaviness. Not dramatic, not loud — just still. And in that stillness, I have been holding onto one thought: we are made of parts. That idea, shared by @LucidLeslie, reminded me that even when one part of me is struggling, the rest of me can still show up. I can still create, love, reflect, and care — even in the midst of the fog.In these 8 minutes, I’m sharing what this insight has meant for me, and inviting you to check in too: what part of you might be asking for care right now?New episode every Monday. Thanks for being here.Cheers,Z

    Easy comes at a price

We all love an easy way out—until it backfires. This week, I learned this lesson the hard way (spoiler: it involves a mixer and a very swollen thumb). But beyond kitchen mishaps, this got me thinking: when does choosing the easy route serve us, and when does it hold us back?Sometimes, we go for what’s convenient—skipping workouts, avoiding tough conversations, or saying “yes” when we should say “no”—because it feels easier in the moment. But in the long run? Easy comes at a price. That being said, not everything needs to be a struggle. There are moments when choosing the easier path is actually the smartest move. So how do we tell the difference? This week, let’s ask ourselves: Is this "easy" serving me or costing me?New episodes of the 8 minute podcast drop every Monday on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube. All it takes... is 8 minutes

This is the introductory episode of the 8 minute podcast, I wanted to explain the concept the story behind it, and what you can expect moving forward. The idea behind this podcast is pretty simple and straightforward - my goal is to create a space in which we can all pause, and reflect in just a few minutes.Life is so fast-paced and, sometimes, all we need is a moment of clarity or connection to shift our mindset. That's why 8 minutes felt like the perfect duration - long enough to dive into meaningful ideas, but short enough to fit into even the busiest of schedules. Whether you're starting your day or taking a short break, this podcast is meant to be a little boost of positivity, motivation and, ultimately, mindfulness.Through this podcast, I hope my voice and words bring you comfort, but also inspiration and momentum to embrace your truest, most authentic selves.I aspire to create a community in which we can all learn, grow and support each other through life and all its movements - one episode at a time. There will be a new episode every Monday to kickstart the week. Each episode is basically a very long memo from a friend who's got your back.Feel free to interact with this content, share it with your loved ones, follow me on Instagram :) And remember that all you need... is 8 minutes.CheersZ
