Move Now, Age Later: Perimenopause is the Perfect Time to Get Active

The Bloom Era ladies are on a mission to get intentional about creating healthier habits as we enter perimenopause and beyond. You can join us on The 4-Week Pause here https://theleap.co/creator/bloom/ In this episode we are talking about being intentional about movement. One thing I love about this group is that there are different levels at play - some of us are happy couch potatoes and some of us don't feel quite right without moving our bodies. But we all know that women, especially as we age, need to keep moving in order to boost our mood, keep our cardiovascular system healthy, and strengthen our bones. Keep the conversation going! What are you doing to keep your body moving into old age? We would love to hear! This is a public episode. Perimenopause and Why We're Eating So Much Protein

Today we're talking about how important it is for perimenopausal women to be super intentional about EATING THEIR PROTEIN! We watched Dr. ‪@maryclairehavermd8473‬ on Huberman and all agreed that we needed to learn more about protein's role as our body shifts into menopause and strategies we're all using to increase our protein intake. We start the episode with a fun review of protein drinks and some good old fashioned chicken. How are you making protein a priority in your diet?? Share in the comments! This is a public episode. Getting Older or Getting Better?

In this episode we are talking about aging and all the feelings that come with it. Are we ok with aging? How does it feel watching our parents age? How old until you're actually old? We end this episode talking about what we're doing now in our 40s to support a healthier version of us in our 70s and we would love to hear what you are doing! This is a public episode. The Beauty Evolution From Our 20s to Our 40s

In this episode we are talking about possibly the hardest part of getting older for women: Changing appearance We talk about how our ideas about beauty showed up in our teens, twenties, thirties, and now our forties. We discuss what we have considered beautiful in the past and what we consider beautiful today. How our insecurities from young adulthood color who we see in the mirror today. What we think about social media and those dang glam filters. What we would say to our younger selves. This was a fun conversation and, honestly, one I think will come up again. There is (right or wrong) so much of the womanhood journey tied up in our ideas of beauty and it's so interesting to hear how we have all had to wrestle that octopus in different ways. Why Perimenopause Women Need Their Friends

In this episode we're sharing The Bloom Era Podcast's Origin Story. Marie had a super short period and immediately went to The Group Chat to find out if it if menopause was sneaking up on her childhood best friends as well (it wasn't) (because they're in their early 40s and their husbands think it's too early) (but studies say you could start the menopause process at 35!) From there The Bloom Era Podcast was born! We are going to be talking about our changing bodies and roles and hormones so why not invite strangers also going through The Change into the conversation as well! This is a public episode.
