Welcome to the d-1 diary!! On my podcast I discuss topics such as fitness, nutrition, and mental health, things that I’ve always been passionate about. During the COVID quarantine I learned a lot about what it actually means to live a balanced, healthy life and I wanted to create this podcast to share the things I have learned and am continuing to learn through the podcasts and books that have been so helpful to me . I am no expert, but I hope through my episodes and through interviewing other d-1 athletes and people I find inspiring we can all learn something new and grow together. Enjoy!

    On today's episode I'm super excited to be interviewing one of my close friends Dakota Fordham. She is a former junior ITF player and achieved a career high ranking of 184 in the world. She now plays tennis for NYU and talks about her experiences there so far, as well as her memories from playing on the junior ITF tour. We talk about what kept her going through hard times, how being homeschooled from a young age impacted her life, the power of music, and much more.

    Tara Kerr who is a D-1 lacrosse player for William & Mary joins me on the podcast today to talk about all things related to being a college athlete and how she got there. We talk about the amazing friendships that come with playing college sports, the mental side of being an athlete, Tara’s chipotle obsession, twin telepathy, and so many other interesting topics.

    Today’s episode is a very special one because we have our first guest, Sasha Wood, joining us on the podcast. She is a former top junior tennis player from Boston who now plays D1 tennis for Columbia University. She talks to us about growing up in a competitive tennis environment, the highs and lows of being on the junior ITF tour,  how she balances being a pre-med student with her other commitments, her experiences so far playing tennis for Columbia, her encounters with legends such as Rafael Nadal and Rob Gronkowski, and so much more. I hope you guys love this episode as much as I loved interviewing and getting to know so much about Sasha.
