The Edge of Liberty

The greatest threat to liberty has always been, and ever will be ignorance; be it directionless gullibility, or knowledge clouded with bias. Open critical thought is the sword by which we cut through the agendas of those who would divide and control us. In order to preserve our individual freedoms we must arm ourselves with objective truth, and make up our own damned minds!

EoL Episode 4 Part 4: Baseline Knowledge

What every citizen should know about our laws. We don’t need to start off knowing everything, we just need to know enough.

  2. 8

EoL Episode 4 Part 3: Bad Service 0 of 5 stars

Would you pay for a meal you didn’t eat? Then why would you accept a law you didn’t read? It’s not like it affects you or anything...

  3. 7

EoL Episode 4 Part 2: Rise Above the Noise

We are being divided through distraction. We are more than this. We must agree to agree on foundational principles to heal and progress.

  4. 6

EoL Episode 4 Part 1: So Now What?

Control is maintained through distraction. So what do we do about it?

EoL Episode 3 Part 3: Law of No Returns

With great freedom comes great responsibility. What we don’t pay for in taxes, we pay with our liberty. Very seldom does anyone desire to relinquish control once it is obtained. Laws can only limit freedom, but when was the last time a political entity sought to limit the scope of it’s own influence? Why does it feel like there’s a political aristocracy?

EoL Episode 3 Part 2: Law of No Returns

Continuing the conversation that we must preserve our own freedom. Very seldom does anyone desire to relinquish control once it is obtained. Laws can only limit freedom, but when was the last time a political entity sought to limit the scope of it’s own influence? Why does it feel like there’s a political aristocracy?

EoL Episode 2: Darkness Doesn’t Spread

Darkness has no source. Darkness is but an absence of light and cannot be created. Light must recede before darkness can spread. Similarly, ignorance pervades only when objectivity is lost to forgetfulness or warped by bias. With ignorance, we lose the ability to choose for ourselves or even recognize when a choice is presented. By misunderstanding our nation’s founding principles, the structure of its institutions, and the limitations thereof, we will be subject to tyrants and despots of every color, and we won’t even know it. If we are to unite as a nation, we must agree as a nation upon foundational principles that can be built upon. We must focus on the answer, and not “winning the argument.”

    EoL Episode 1: Why Bother?

We are Finn and Ghost, two everyday people who are, quite honestly, sick of of being taking advantage of by those who claim to be our leaders and public servants. We feel compelled to speak out and speak up for the way things should be. Rather than howl impotently in the streets that “something has to change,” we seek to arm and equip our fellow citizens with the knowledge and inspiration to liberate ourselves from the darkness of ignorance. Until we as a nation are able to agree that a solution exists, and that the solution may contradict our own biases, we will be unable to transcend the division that has been sewn in our society. This is the beginning, we are finding our way, and we hope you will join us as we unite over that which has brought good in our nation’s growth and is borne of critical reflection.
