Today the GenXperts discuss the mall. The loving haven and social network for 80’s and 90’s kids that formed our young teen lives. The experts will discuss our mall of choice, the Indian Mall in Jonesboro, Arkansas. A mall we all used to go to and hang out in during our youth. We also discuss the mall culture as well as movies that featured a mall in their storytelling. Today the GenXperts discuss remakes of 80’s films and if they are in fact needed. The group will take a look at certain film remakes such as Footloose and Roadhouse and weigh the need to remake these popular eighties films. The crew also discusses tv remakes and reboots through the lens of Generation X members. 

This week the GenXperts are kicking off October and the beginning of spooky season by discussing the Satanic Panic that began in the late 70’s and carried through for over 2 decades. The group discusses the origins of the panic and how it affected their lives. The group covers all its influence on and from pop culture during the time as only the GenXperts can. 

Today the GenXperts discuss what it means to them to be members of Generation X. There are textbook definitions that define the generation but there are events that are personal to each member that they feel is a solid marker. What was the first computer you remember using? When did you first possess a cellular phone? These topics and many others will be discussed by the panel known as The GenXperts.
