Finding Your Good By - Finding Your Voice
We all have an inner wisdom, an inner voice. It’s what I call our true, authentic self. But most of us have buried deep inside of us and forgotten how to speak it’s language. Today we begin to get in touch with this inner wisdom, though years of pushing it aside won’t be undone in a day. We start with a meditation that will help us locate that voice. Then leaning on it a little, we begin to use that inner wisdom to understand the harmony of our own personal wheel of wellness – harmony between your physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing. Once we start to see what that harmony might be for you we can use small, intentional steps to accomplish it. And a quick reminder, none of us are perfect, most especially myself. Finding Your Good By - Being Kind To Yourself (inner criticism vs inner compassion)
We are often our own worst critic. We often tend to judge ourself and cut ourself down more than others do to us. This isn't healthy for us nor for those around us. In this week's episode of The Good She Carries we use the analogy of a sheep herder and a shepherd to understand why our inner sheep might prefer the shepherd. Finding Your Good By - Just Being Kind
Ever wonder why it feels so good to be seen? Or why it feels so good when you make sure someone else is seen? Believe it or not, kindness is actually an abundant commodity in the world today. Unfortunately, there can never be enough of it and we certainly could use more of it these days. I recently dug into the science of why kindness feels so good and found some amazing things that I share in this week's episode. Most especially, studies that PROVE it's more powerful than we believe. I also encourage you in this week's butterfly step to take a step towards adding a little more kindness into the world. Finding Your Good - When The Bottom Drops Out
Recently, a great tragedy struck my family. One of those moments you can never be prepared for which inevitably derails everything in life and starts to make you wonder "what's the point?" After clawing through some of these darker thoughts myself these last several weeks, I use this episode to dialogue with women about how we can better face these dark days in our lives. No one's life will always be butterflies and rainbows. Finding Your Good By - Learning Self-Compassion

Finding Your Good By - Shining a Light on Fear and Shame
In this week's episode, we tackle the final big emotions before we start getting to truly know ourselves. Fear and shame are two big emotions that keep us from being able to see the good we carry and know what it is we want to do with that good. But simply understanding that we were once wired for fear and shame in order to keep us safe in the wild, helps to remove some of the power of fear. In today's episode, Stacey gets raw and honest about her own insecurities holding her back from going "big" with this podcast. She explains why a movement of women using their abilities for good is so important to her. Then, she defines what it means to grant yourself grace. In order to combat feelings of not enough, Dr. Brene Brown tells us we have to have excruciating vulnerability. Not something we usually wake up in the morning excited to experience. But today's episode shows how when we curiously address our vulnerability and welcome in all our emotions without judging which ones are good and which ones are bad, we actually learn that Christopher Robin was right and we are stronger than we think we are.
