Episode 3 - Acceptance in Grief
In this weeks episode of The Grief and Well Nurse I talk a bit about Acceptance in Grief, what I've learnt acceptance to truly mean after loss and how the unsolicited advice and comments such as "move on" needs to stop in today's society. I also talk a bit about different cultural traditions that just make sense after loss, mentioning Dia de los muertas and All Souls Day. I would also love to know more about these traditions or any other spiritual /cultural traditions that really empower and enable healing in grief. *Note*: The Book I mention in this podcast is called "Empty Cradle, Broken Heart" written by Deborah L. Davis, Ph.D. Highly recommend it, it makes all the things we question after loss make sense!
