The Highway Podi is back for its fourth season! While our production quality remains unchanged (poor), our season premiere returns to our favorite topic: poop. Join us to catch up with the crew and hear what everyone has been doing during our eight-month hiatus. We also talk about plans for the upcoming season, not too much though (wouldn't want to take away from the important issues (see above: poop). Also, Ryan's a screamer.

Ryan has never been more excited to have a guest on the highway, current MSHP Colonel Mike Turner. Tune in to the season finale and hear about how Cpl. Turner's career shaped his leadership style. As well as what his vision is for the future of the highway patrol, thoughts on utilizing social media for recruitment and what his record time is in the ice bath.

In this episode of The Highway, Ryan visits with a former leader of his, Joey. They discuss a controversial pursuit PIT video that made it rounds on social media in late 2024. Prior to his recent retirement, Joey reviewed statewide pursuit cases and is an expert in this area of law enforcement. Listen in for his and Ryan's take on the case in question, and for a look into what is considered when reviewing this disputed law enforcement tactic.

The Highway crew has a special guest on this episode. Eddie Bowers, a retired Nevada State Patrol captain, talks about his approach to staying relatable and connected to the road during his time in law enforcement leadership. We also discuss his successes and lessons throughout his career and, of course, his "poopin' his pants" story.

Summer “vacation” is over! The Highway crew talks vacations with the family, by sharing nostalgic stories that definitely shaped our well developed psyches. This episode will take the wind out of ya (just as the title suggests), and you’ll be gasping for air when you're finished.

Ryan, Bird, and the SME start out with a moonshine tasting, just before Bird is surprised by a glorious picture from his past. The SME and Bird tell their stories about contacts with law enforcement and the impressions those contacts left.

In episode 4 you are introduced to my left-leaning Highway compadre TROM. He has been working our highways for over 10 years, he's an FTO and was recently promoted to Sergeant. Though the SME has a well-drafted agenda for us to follow, the cast immediately goes off-topic but finishes a few final thoughts on gun control from the left (TROM) and the right (Bird). Enjoy.

Episode 3 of The Highway is Extract-ED sticker roulette. Bird tries to guess the meaning behind each Extract-ED sticker, without any context. Bird has a few hits and a few misses. Lets get it on.
