The Red Bottoms Method: How to Keep Going When Things Get Hard | Ep. 193

In this episode, I share what I call the “Red Bottoms Method” — the idea that when things get hard, you stop focusing on yourself and start supporting others.I talk about how this mindset was inspired by a girl on our sales team who had the biggest support at our marathon because she’s always the first person supporting everyone else. It’s also the same mindset that helped me finish my Ironman.I also give a life update from my first summer doing door-to-door sales to where I am now, and share the story of an 18-year-old rookie who had the courage to role play in front of the entire team on day one. You can teach a script, but you can’t teach courage. This episode is about growth, support, and putting yourself in situations that force you to become better.Direct Message Me: (DM is always open!)Instagram: Claytonnelson_Twiter: Clayton_Nelson5TikTok: Clayton_NelsonYouTube: ClaytonNelson

The Biggest Lesson I Learned from Running 100 Miles (People Matter) | Ep. 179

This episode is all about the biggest lesson I learned from running 100 miles — and it’s not about running. It’s about people. This race would’ve been completely different if I did it alone. Training with Caleb every day for seven months, having my mom, my sister, Jeremy, and our families there to support us — that’s what made this experience what it was.At mile 50, I hit my wall. I didn’t want to go any further. And that’s when Jeremy jumped in and ran 12 miles with me. Those miles changed everything. That moment reminded me why having the right people around you matters so much.Direct Message Me: (DM is always open!)Instagram: Claytonnelson_Twiter: Clayton_Nelson5TikTok: Clayton_NelsonYouTube: ClaytonNelson

Surround Yourself with the Right People (Here’s Why) | Ep. 178

In this episode, I reflect on my experience at Running Man just a week ago. This was my third time going, and every single time I walk away with the same reminder: proximity is power.I share why events like this are so powerful for me and how they’ve shown me the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people. For example, when I tell most people I’m running a 100-mile race, they think it’s insane. But at Running Man, it’s normal—the standard. Instead of calling me crazy, people gave me advice on how to do it better. That’s the power of proximity. Mentors make it real.Right now, I feel like I have so much untapped potential inside me. I don’t have complete clarity on my life’s exact path yet—but I know my job isn’t to have it all figured out. My job is to keep moving in the direction of the person I want to become, to take action, and to learn from mentors who are already doing it at a high level.Direct Message Me: (DM is always open!)Instagram: Claytonnelson_Twiter: Clayton_Nelson5TikTok: Clayton_NelsonYouTube: ClaytonNelson

How I’m Moving Forward After Missing My Goal | Ep. 175

This week, I reflect on my summer as it comes to an end. I set a huge sales goal—and I didn’t even come close. But instead of seeing it as a failure, I share why I believe it was still a success.I talk about how I’m processing the gap between expectation and reality, and why I don’t owe my past self an apology or need to feel sorry for myself. What I do owe is my future self a chance. There’s too much at stake to sit in self-pity.In this episode, I break down why being consistently good is more powerful than being occasionally great, why I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be (but not supposed to stay here), and how I’m going to reach the next level.Direct Message Me: (DM is always open!)Instagram: Claytonnelson_Twiter: Clayton_Nelson5TikTok: Clayton_NelsonYouTube: ClaytonNelson

Every day I cross paths with people at different stages of life, and those conversations often teach me lessons I’ll carry forever. Recently, an older couple shared something simple but powerful with me—“life is worth enjoying.”That advice stuck with me, and in this episode I talk about what it means in my own journey. I reflect on where I’m at right now, the season I’m in, and how I’m learning to slow down, take it in, and truly enjoy the ride.Direct Message Me: (DM is always open!)Instagram: Claytonnelson_Twiter: Clayton_Nelson5TikTok: Clayton_NelsonYouTube: ClaytonNelson

How I Stay Confident When I’m Not Where I Want to Be Yet (Without Second-Guessing Myself) | Ep. 173

This week, I had a conversation that hit deep—someone asked me, “How do I know if I’m in the right spot in life?”They were constantly looking for other people’s approval to feel like they were on the right path. I’ve been there, but I’ve learned to have blind faith in my mission—without needing anyone else to tell me I’m doing the right thing. In this episode, I share how I keep my confidence and trust the bigger picture, even when what I’m doing now isn’t my ultimate goal. We talk about why you can only connect the dots looking back, and why the only way to get there is to finish the dot you’re on right now.If you’ve ever questioned where you are or needed encouragement to keep going, this one’s for you.Direct Message Me: (DM is always open!)Instagram: Claytonnelson_Twiter: Clayton_Nelson5TikTok: Clayton_NelsonYouTube: ClaytonNelson

In this episode, I talk about the power of pushing through—resting at the end, not in the middle.Life has been non-stop lately, with little sleep and barely any downtime. In this episode, I talk about the power of words—and how what you say out loud can shape how you think, feel, and show up every day. I reflect on a story Jesse Itzler shared about running a 100-mile race, and how his self-talk carried him through the darkest moments.I also share how one of the most impactful mentors in my life, Coach Old May, used to tell me, “We don’t have time for bad days.” That mindset stuck with me—and I believe it’s one of the reasons I’m such a joyful and grounded person today.Direct Message Me: (DM is always open!)Instagram: Claytonnelson_Twiter: Clayton_Nelson5TikTok: Clayton_NelsonYouTube: ClaytonNelson

The last two weeks? Brutal. My car group bageled—zero deals and no money made- but somehow, our energy never dipped. We stayed locked in, encouraged each other, and kept pressing forward with faith that something would eventually break our way. And it did.In this episode, I share the story of what happened, how we pushed through it, and why I believe struggle is where the real growth happens. This One Thing Held Me Back My Entire Life (How It's Getting Fixed) | Ep. 163

This week, I opened up to the team about something that’s held me back my entire life: self-confidence. I share a story about my football career, the ride home from my last game, and the sick feeling of knowing I never fully believed in myself.Ran into a friend from college couple weeks back and he asked me why I’m not scared to do what I’m doing now. I thought back to a conversation I had with my dad just a week before, when he told me his biggest regret: not taking more risks when he was young. That hit me hard.In this episode, I talk about how that moment shifted my perspective and why I refuse to make the same mistake. I’ve already made the hard choice to bet on myself—so why waste energy doubting now? We don’t have time to not believe in ourselves. What I Learned About Forcing vs. Flowing | Ep. 160

I talk about two big lessons I learned recently—one about chasing goals, and one about leadership.I write my top ten goals every day, and this week I actually achieved one. But when it happened, it didn’t feel how I thought it would. That moment taught me a lot about timing, surrender, and why sometimes you’ve got to let things happen in God’s timing—not force them. The second lesson came from leading my car group this summer. This week, I take you inside a 1v1 competition I had with another top rep — a battle that came down to the very last day. I ended up losing, but what happened next was way more important than who won. I share the biggest lessons I took from the experience, how I bounced back, and why sometimes the losses shape you more than the wins.Direct Message Me: (DM is always open!)Instagram: Claytonnelson_Twiter: Clayton_Nelson5TikTok: Clayton_NelsonYouTube: ClaytonNelson

ROOKIE SUMMER | Week 12: How Long Would You Keep Knocking Without a Win? | Ep. 153

After two strong weeks, I came into this one expecting momentum — but instead, I bagelled all week. No sales. No wins. It got to the point where my closer had to come knock with me to see what was going on. But late Friday night, everything flipped. Last door of the day: same-day close. First door Saturday morning: same-day close. Then another later that day. This episode is about believing in your inputs even when the results aren’t showing up yet. When you stay consistent, your breakthrough isn’t a matter of if — it’s a matter of when.Direct Message Me: (DM is always open!)Instagram: Claytonnelson_Twiter: Clayton_Nelson5TikTok: Clayton_NelsonYouTube: ClaytonNelson

This week, I break down a game-changing training from Zack Andersen about “finding your aces” — and how it shifted the way I look at my day-to-day inputs. This episode is part of my ROOKIE SUMMER series — a recap from my first summer knocking doors, recorded in real time.Week 6 was my best week yet—a personal record. I was locked in, leading the office going into Saturday, and for a moment, it felt like I had it in the bag. But then Chaz, our top athlete all summer, did something that changed the way I look at competition. At 10pm, after being picked up from area, he knocked a few more doors… and closed one to beat me by a single deal. In this episode, I share how that moment taught me a hard truth: there are people out there who want what you want—and they’re willing to do what you aren’t.Direct Message Me: (DM is always open!)Instagram: Claytonnelson_Twiter: Clayton_Nelson5TikTok: Clayton_NelsonYouTube: ClaytonNelson

That walk turned into one of the most important conversations I’ve ever had with myself. In this episode, I open up about what I realized in that moment—and why it kept me going when nothing else did.Direct Message Me: (DM is always open!)Instagram: Claytonnelson_Twiter: Clayton_Nelson5TikTok: Clayton_NelsonYouTube: ClaytonNelson
