Episode 1: Ruben V
Ruben V is a well known and well respected singer/songwriter/guitarist that hails from San Antonio Texas. He has been a fixture in the San Antonio and Austin Music Scene since the 90's. His soulful music is heavily influence by blues and R & B music and his songs are not what you would typically expect from either of the aforementioned categories. Although this podcast is not focused on live performance or stage presence, one cannot mention Ruben without mentioning he is an unstoppable force on stage. He will run over you like a train from the first song to the encore. In this episode, we discuss his beginnings in the Austin scene, songwriting and our common love of blues music and guitars. If you don't know Ruben yet, I hope this episode lets you in on one of Texas's greatest treasures.

Episode 2: Mark Allan Atwood
Mark Allan Atwood has been writing songs and performing in Texas for over four decades. He is a master of the craft and has been recognized as such by his fans and peers for years. He is also a powerhouse of a singer which is evident as soon as he starts his first song. Being a good singer is not a requirement to be considered a good songwriter, but it doesn't hurt. The fact that Mark doesn't abuse this God given gift, makes it even more special when he opens up his pipes and hits an appropriate high note or turns on a beautiful vibrato that only trained singers have and the rest of us covet. When it comes to his songs all I can say is there is a common theme and it's a theme that I personally need in my life and I think would help all of us- LOVE. Some consider him outspoken and some consider him a champion for their cause, but all agree he is a top notch songwriter that has the songwriter credentials to sit next to the best of them in a song swap. Please join me as we discuss what we do and try to shed some light on why guys like me and Mark are willing to die trying for that next song.
