David Stull Sr. | Our First Tie to Professionalism in Cincinnati

Treva Reid | From Student Council to City Council
Send a textCouncilmember Treva Reid is a resilient single mother and community builder. Her passion for serving stems from growing up in a large, civically engaged family where her great-grandmother’s faith and political activism informed their values. As a young single mother in college working multiple jobs, she leveraged strengths from her upbringing to provide for her daughter and graduate from Hampton University. Throughout her career, Councilmember Reid has served in state government as a Senior Aide to Senator Nancy Skinner when she was in the State Assembly and State Budget Chair, leading on policies and delivering funding that benefited Oakland. She also served as an Associate for California Assembly District 18 on the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee, is an Emerge California Alumna, and serves as a licensed minister at Shiloh Church, a State Policy Advisor for Black Women Organized for Political Action (BWOPA), and with her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Since being elected as District 7’s Councilmember in November 2020, Councilmember Reid has held to her promise to tirelessly work to move East Oakland forward, championing the priorities of her community. During her tenure, she has prioritized public safety, education, business development, and essential resource accessibility for the Deep East Oakland community.Today, we draw the connection from Treva's impressive career back to her roots in the city of Cincinnati, and at the School for Creative and Performing Arts, where she first met Tim, Rex and Ron.Are you an SCPA Alumnus? Meet one of Cincinnati's Most Prolific Photographers | Bob Ohr
Send a textBob Ohr is a photographer, and a Cincinnati native who has personally witnessed, and captured several moments that were impactful in not only Cincinnati history, but US history as a whole. Using Bob's extensive photo library as a touchstone, the guys are able to unpack Cincinnati's famous School for Creative and Performing Arts, and its original purpose as a "Magnet School," which was instrumental in the push to desegregate schools, and was founded on the idea of gathering kids together based on something other than what neighborhood they were from, but rather by their talents. For each of these surreal moments, Bob was there, and there are masterful photos to accompany them. For now, we are working on a way for you, the listener, to get access to a more extensive version of Bob's photo library, but at the least you can search his name and enjoy.
