State of the Union Address
In this pilot episode of The New Shape of Episode, Josh gets into the new rule changes coming to Major League Baseball in 2026. Josh also gets lost in the sauce of the off-season free agency signings, highlighting some of the biggest names to switch teams this past winter. Then, during the Out On a Limb segment Josh makes a really bold (or maybe not so bold?) prediction about a prospect about to play his first full season in the MLB. Finally, to close it out, is baseball still America's National Pastime? Josh tries to figure his way out of the weeds and make sense of what is happening in baseball right now because it's starting to feel a little bit like the "sweet Steroid" era of the late 90s/early 2000s. All this and more on a fast-moving, informative episode of The New Shape of Baseball!
