    One-ManTrekker#4.3: "George, J.J., and a game with Q..." (Stardate 06.01.13)

After the first two tantalizing hours of J.J. Abrams/Star Wars/2009 (Star Trek) alongside the “Hide & Q” exploration and endless rambling, elapses, Kert is beamed back into our ears for the third installment of the insights and adventures for The One-Man Trekker Episode #4. He delves into philosophies concerning the Q and the profoundly weighty aspect of “Hide & Q” which is often overseen: the human condition. A component of Star Trek which gives it its transcending meaning and grandeur. With a few surprises along the way, the real surprise occurs at the end of our journey when an inspired Kert Kaczynski on the vast bridge of his grand vessel, the U.S.S. Trekker, encounters… Well, we wouldn’t want this description to “spoil” you… ‘Till Episode #5…

    One-ManTrekker#4.2: "George, J.J., and a game with Q..." (Stardate 05.31.13)

After the energizing first part of Episode #4, Kert warps into his next episode exploring the nostalgic and magical first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation, in the tenth episode: “Hide & Q” Kert stutters and clearly takes his time through all the spectacle, delving into insights he had never thought, prior to his exploration for The One-Man Trekker.

    One-ManTrekker#4.1: "George, J.J., and a game with Q..." (Stardate 05.30.13)

Bombastically beamed in from nearly one month short of the time elapsed between the first and second episodes (six months), Kert Kaczynski recovers from the gruesome horror of losing all the files for The One-Man Trekker, barely retrieving them to save this explosive episode. As the initial millisecond of audio blasts off, we set off at warp speed into what was meant to be released in March. With his grand, slick n’ sweepin’ vessel of the space-ways, the U.S.S. Trekker, Kert and his computerized companion, Mary, raise an eyebrow as to the nature of what Kert believes to be their first alien encounter in their newly born journey. It isn’t long until Kert heads to his glitzy studio, with a silver-glazed microphone in hand, to dive deep into two refutable subject matters a human being of his kind has no lack of understanding for: Star Wars, and Star Trek. The unforeseen news of October 2012 sent shockwaves through the mindscapes of Star Wars fans and Trekkers, alike. In this thrilling episode, Kert imaginatively stutters and rambles about the history of George Lucas and the legendary lore of Star Wars for the good majority of the drastic duration, until he connects the dots to the Trek land, and fires off on J.J. Abrams tackling Star Wars alongside an overview on Kert’s Star Trek (2009) impassioned thoughts. All this, for an invigorating hour and thirteen minutes. The Episodes Engaged portion of the show, kicks off in The One-Man Trekker Episode #4.2, the second edition to a long-awaited Episode #4.

    One-ManTrekker#3: "Enter: The U.S.S. Trekker..." (Stardate 01.31.13)

Our (soon-to-be-formal) basement dweller, Kert Kacynski, returns after a mere six days as he rejoices in the gleaming fact that it wasn’t six months since he last departed. He warps into the unexpectedly oversized whopper of an episode, first diving into the shocking news of J.J. Abrams’s newest project. (Hint: I am your father. Not really. That was just the hint. Don’t be confused.) He shares with us his latest casual viewing experience of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, reads some tweets from his fellow man, and continues to hype up his “something big, coming” which announces itself, for itself, later in the show. But this description shant spoil you! We’ve told you enough, already… Also, before all that nonsense, he apologizes for some of his “grievous” mistakes in the last episode, being: calling The Black Hole a 1978 film, and misstating TOS Season 3, as TNG Season 3, throughout. As if TNG don’t get enough of the spotlight on this show thus far, as it is! He also weeps about the poor mic quality as his “p’s” and “pops” are beautifully, distortingly, accentuated. In his new studio in a place we can’t tell you about, as of yet, he comfortably engages into a segment, appropriately titled, ‘Episodes Engaged’. The name speaks for itself. He devours the podcast duration up and through the roof with his rambling, sometimes stuttering all-eternal thoughts on one of his personal favorite gems of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Behold, his stunted exploration of Season 1, Episode #6: “Where No One Has Gone Before.” Like yarn given to a cat, this one got out of Kert’s hands as he gives us a 108 minute episode, treated to you like a two-hour special premiere episode. Enjoy!

One-ManTrekker#2: "Six months later..." (Stardate 01.25.13)

The passionate basement dweller, Kert Kaczynski, picks up the microphone again for a second episode as he left us hangin’ six months ago. Like Lucy to Ricky Ricardo, Kert explains himself to whoever occupies the listening audience, explaining his absence, his creative battles, and lack of mental capacities. As he muddles through the drastic duration of forty minutes, he catches up with his listening audience reading aloud all emails, tweets, comments, iTunes reviews, and so on that he received. And we do mean, all, of it… Once again, we enter into his world of the Star Trek lifestyle, as he talks about his current explorations, being: recently viewing the entire third season of TOS, which he believes to be underrated, and not nearly at all excruciating as that other season in that other series was to him. (Or for all who call themselves, “sane”. In the fandoms, at least…) He grasps for the words of articulation to project how much he really digs the early rough n’ film-grainy, synthesizer-vibes of TNG’s introductory season which he currently is going through. And the rest? Well… in the words of LaVar… “Don’t take my word for it.”

One-ManTrekker#1: "It's only the first episode..." (Stardate 07.05.12)

A passionate basement dweller, Kert Kaczynski, arbitrarily launches into a recording as he finds himself doing the first episode of an [hopefully] ongoing Star Trek podcast, comfortably making it up as he goes along. In this first “pilot” episode, of sorts, he shares the annals of his Trek fandom and lifestyle in recent months, attempting to expound on his Next Generation Season 7 horrors, and the first step he took into the world of DS9! Through the running time of forty-eight minutes and forty-five seconds, he stutters at Warp 1 (and no faster than that…) through some of his torture with Season 7, such as the ill-fated attempted relationship between Deanna Troi and Worf, how Wesley Crusher’s character was demeaned in “Journey’s End”, a bit of “Sub Rosa” bashing, and more. He also awkwardly trips over the random thoughts that enter his head such as the contrasting sexuality of The Original Series to TNG?? And jokingly spirited comments on TOS’s “sexism”, and Kirk’s libeto…
