He is the head of an award-winning tennis court and athletics track constructor in the USA. He knows that padel is “about to go pop” Stateside and has spent the last two years preparing for the explosion. Earlier this year, Eric announced his new ambition in developing Padel courts. From a deckhand in the Caribbean to a trip to Cologne transforming his business, Cape and Island Tennis and Track, into all things Padel, he tells us his story and thoughts on the state of play in Padel. Few who meet Max Evans forget Max Evans. This larger than life frisson of energy, smiles and all-round-good-time - not to mention brother of fellow international Tom Evans - has swapped his rugby spikes for the world of padel. After his 15 year international rugby career for Scotland ended, Evans moved to the Algarve, Portugal and pursued a life of sun, golf, family and padel - though not necessarily in that order! As one of the new breed of padel influencers, Max has created a padel brand with a real difference – Cork Padel rackets made out of Portuguese cork, personalised with your own name and colouring, too. We're joined by teenage Padel sensation Tia Norton. Tia has taken British sport by storm these past couple of years, and by becoming the first Briton to be on the verge of breaking into the world top 100, she has created her own slice of history. At just 20 years old, she is the most recognisable face in British Padel, breaking the mould by taking the sport into the media mainstream with appearances on the BBC One Show, in The Telegraph, and by featuring in Sheer Luxe’s Up and Coming Young Women to Know About feature.
