Dwane recruited me to WKU before he took Leonard Hamilton’s spot at UK on Coach Eddie Sutton’s staff. So he still got to coach me. We also discuss how he was able to overcome the adversity of being falsely accused of sending $1000 cash to former top UK recruit Chris Mills. The NCAA reinstated him because they had it wrong. But the damage was done. He tells how he was able to pivot and eventually get his NBA coaching career started. Dwane is the ALL-TIME winningest coach in Toronto Raptors history (2011-2018). UK 91-94, 1993 NCAA Final 4Did you know even though Travis is a KY kid and grew up rooting for the wildcats he was never going to sign with them coming out of high school. He shares why! He also shares how he ended up transferring to UK from Missouri after the school was put on probation. He started as a freshman along side Doug Smith and Anthony Peeler, both future 1st RD NBA Draft pics. He also made the Big Eight ALL-FRESHMAN team. He had all the Blue Blood schools recruiting him to transfer to their school. UNC, Duke, U of L etc. He took a visit to UK and met with Coach Pitino. Well Coach Pitino gave him an ultimatum.....I mean an offer he could not refuse. After graduating from UK Travis dabbled in acting. He shared the big screen with some A-List actors like Marlon Wayons of the famous “Wayons Family” and Kadeem Hardiston. He tells me why he dumped acting and got his coaching career. We talk about when i was in HS i played for Travis dad on his Kentucky JR ALL-STAR team and how our team finished 2nd in the National Tournament in Las Vegas.There is so much more you don't want to miss!
