    S2 E17 - HAPPY HELLIDAYS w/ADAM MARCUS & MICHAEL FELSHER

This episode of TSSP is INSANE. We talked to Adam "Jason Goes to Hell/Secret Santa" Marcus and the director of his new JGTH documentary "Hearts of Darkness: The Making of Jason Goes to Hell", Michael Felsher for nearly two hours, and it was incredible. Not only are these guys incredible filmmakers, but they are both amazing human beings--funny, smart, reflective, compassionate, and beyond knowledgeable about what our show is all about: HORROR. Yes, we actually managed to sus out real terror, horror, and revulsion from both Secret Santa and JGTH, but we also talked about horror itself - all three of SK's levels of fear: Terror, Horror, and Revulsion feature prominently in our discussion. You won't want to miss this one! and as always you can reach us with ideas for the show and feedback on our FB page, in the YouTube comments, or email us at [email protected]

    S2 E12 - 1970s STEPHEN KING

Ready for a slight change-up in format? This episode Slinky Giallo, the lovely Erin Dawn and S. Michael don't discuss a single film as per usual but rather the Master of Horror himself, Mr. Stephen King, particularly his film/TV adaptations of the 1970s (yes, we know The Shining was released in 1980, but it was FILMED in the '70s, so relax), including Carrie, Salem's Lot, and yes, The Shining. We expect our review of The Shining may raise a few mainstream eyebrows, so check out our hot takes, the effect of nostalgia goggles on our retrospectives, and yeah...the Scared Shit List x3!

  7. 17

Yes, S Michael, Slinky Giallo, and the lovely Erin Dawn are actually doing a MODERN horror film (the first of many to come), and boy is this one a doozy! Taking what Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity, and Grave Encounters accomplished with found footage and turning it up a notch on the creepiness meter, 2014's CREEP is definitely as good as its namesake and launched a franchise that is still going to this day.

"Brundlefly", and a young and gorgeous Geena Davis who couldn't keep her hands off Goldblum long enough to go three movies (Transylvania 6500, Earth Girls Are Easy, and The Fly) without being on or near the set with him. A remake of the 1958 classic with Vincent Price (itself spawning several sequels), this movie received an excellent sequel a few years later which was co-written by Mick Garris and still has some of the best practical FX in ANY movie, as does this film which featured creature FX by genius Stan Winston.
