The Self-Led Leader

The Self-Led Leader is a podcast for thoughtful, reflective leaders who want to understand the psychology of confidence, communication, and executive presence. Hosted by Dr. Christina Aidy, social psychologist, the show explores the three key signals that determine how you come across before strategy or tactics do: your internal state, communication patterns, and how you respond under pressure. These three signals shape whether your competence is trusted, questioned, or overlooked. Because leadership doesn’t start with what you say. It starts with the state you’re speaking from.

Body Language: How to understand non verbal cues like a PRO so you feel more confident speaking

Ever finish a conversation thinking something about it was just a little off, but you couldn't quite put your finger on it? That's likely because you were picking up on the other person's non-verbal cues that didn't match what they said to you. Non-verbal cues matter more than your words do - before they happen ALL THE TIME, without you even realizing. But there is a difference between picking up on others' cues and learning to be mindful of your own. When you learn to understand what your own body cues are saying to others, this will help you convey the right message to the person you're speaking with - the message you actually intend to make. This is SO important, especially as a leader or founder, who carries more authority and responsibility in the business.Today's episode is actually from the non-verbal cues module from my Intentional Communication Mastery course, designed specifically to help you communicate with more confidence using psychology and behavioural science. ABOUT THIS SHOW
