He was arrested, charged and sentenced to 32 months in federal prison, serving one year until his release in July 2024 after being vindicated by the U.S. Supreme Court.John’s story is even more amazing when you consider his advocacy and commitment to the others he left behind. After being released he never forgot those who were still suffering and dedicated his life to securing their freedom and ultimately justice.His efforts contributed to the historic pardoning issued by President Trump in his first days in office, freeing over 1,500 J6 prisoners and releasing 211 from federal prison.The J6 pardons were a necessary FIRST step but by no means the last.
