He gets it started with Rooster and then we jump back to Mr. Morris’s 7th grade class, orange soda gives you flatulence, launching water balloons during a halftime show, having your phone while in the bathroom, and 4 inch inseam shorts. Jon shares about joining the national guard prior to 9/11, where we were that day, being diagnosed with cancer at 19, having kids, escaping into music, starting a new chapter and growing his family, and then we get into some of that he demons and battles that follow us every day. September 10th is Suicide Awareness Day and Jon shares how vets and others can find help and tools to deal with this and other mental health related issues. We love Jon and we are so grateful for his time, stories, laughs, inspiration, and vulnerability to open up and share. He ends the episode with a fitting song by Petey USA - Don’t Tell The Boys.
