This was a truly fun conversation where Rouvaun really opens up and  discusses his upbringing in Compton, California, his start playing in bands, his dad also heavily influencing him in music and dj’ing (in the 8th grade!).  He was also introduced to funk early in life by his brother and sisters.  In his youth he started a band called the ‘Cosmic Scratch Force’ to do dj battles against bands such as ‘Knights Of The Turntables’.  As he experimented musically he built up a sizeable vinyl record collection.  He witnessed the introduction of the ‘Pop-Lock’ breakdancing movement life in Los Angeles in the 80’s during the emergence of hip-hop’s most influential artists.
