In this episode we talk with Cieran, a musician who had no intentions of becoming a music teacher, but found himself in a school for students with intellectual differences. Cieran has had to develop his own program and as a result, he has created a classroom that values individual students and incorporates music into fun and engaging lessons.

In this episode we will be talking with Mark, a recent music education graduate who is stepping into his first middle school band room this year. We will discuss how he got here, what he feels ready for, and what may lie ahead. We then come back to this discussion after Mark has finished his first two days as a teacher to see how it went and what he is looking forward to this year.
