A Letter To My Dad
Coming from a war-torn country and surviving in the US is a tough journey. Starting from scratch for everything. Culture, Food, Loneliness, Academic Stress, Language, and Financial. This episode is about a student talking to her father about her daily life while she was struggling in the US. Her father passed away 12 years ago. She didn't have a chance to talk to her family like the others because of the 12-hour time difference; when she's back from work or study at night, her mother is just waking up and doing home chores, and she doesn't want to add to her stress about her struggles while she is in the country, stressing under political circumstances in Burma. And she doesn't have anyone to talk to about how she felt in another country or to ask for suggestions like the others from their father, because she is the one who studies abroad in her family. So, she wrote a sound poem for her father about her experiences in New York. You can listen to a sound letter from a daughter who is staying and trying to survive in another country to her father, who passed away 12 years ago.
