The Trials of the Quarantine Kids

In Takaka New Zealand, a melange of climbers, circus freaks and people of general interest are suddenly trapped together at a rock climbing camp-ground due to the COVID-19 outbreak. All stuck in quarantine together the travelers quickly form a new society and new friendships while they band together to try and survive the bitter Takaka winter. Will the ragtag group of misfits find a deeper meaning of community by working together or will their lives slowly drown in the chaos. Every day Niall and Sage talk to a different town member.

    Bitch Slaps with Bogan Emma

Episode 4 - Bitch Slaps The following is what Sage and I imagine a TIME magazine article would say about our podcast in one of their world-famous comic books. Bare in mind Sage nor I have ever read a Time comic. "Lacks depth, imagination and focusses far too heavily on the "bogan" aspects of their guests. The recording quality is beyond shoddy and personally, I feel attacked at the suggestion that I would ever actually enjoy this driveling nonsense, let alone think they could ever deserve podcast of the year. This all being said and accounted for, they seem like a really nice pair of guys, if they indeed did wish to be taken seriously I would wish they ceased their incessant emailing to our organization pleading to be nominated for TIME magazine podcast of the year. Thank you and piss off" Harsh but fair. Please put your inter webbed hands together for Emma. Climber, outdoor legend, and honorary badass.

This Is NOT A Simulation ft. Tom

Oh, you know what it is. It’s Day 3 baby! We are starting to question the nature of reality and ironing out the finer details of starting a micro-nation. There are certainly worse places to be stuck than in our little countryside quarantine camp with all its fun and fuzzy characters. Find out about our mischievously unique isolation were 30 stranded climbers have to find fun. Today we have the talks with Tom, the studio neighbor. Pay no mind to our smack talking at the beginning, Tom’s flipping on it. He is the embodiment of calm with a razor-sharp mind and thoughts on most everything. Once again, if you wade through our nonsense, he is a treat to listen to and even sweeter to talk to. With conversations straying to simulation theory, climbing, and introducing your local performance artist publican, Terry. So tune your big bad self in to find out some new hot juicy camp gossip as well as getting dragged along for some spicy stories and rambling tangents. Long Live Olympus.

The Acid Test Ft. Big Ben

"You can feel the electricity for sure" and "I don't want to be in a box right now"  One is a quote and one is a review, from an unnamed but highly established reviewing agency who due to the crisis is now reviewing debut New Zealand based podcast series.  Our episode acid test is named after a big ol' juggy roof climb over the Paynes Ford river. It's Paynes Fords' most famous swimming hole and even though many travellers I've met throughout New Zealand told me about this amazing deep water solo climb, Niall still hasn't taken the time to walk 1 minute across the road to even look at the climb because of his distaste for cold water.  This episode is a rocky road at the start but hang on in, listen to our giggling selves, wade through our nonsense and then love the sound of Ben's voice telling you about marvelously interesting things. This is going to be part one of Ben due to events mentioned in the episode, 3/4 of the crew got snacky and wandered away so this is only a taste and there is much more Big Ben to come.  So please welcome, tall man, ex-jock, chess extraordinaire and the forever pleasant, Big Ben.

The Trials of Camp Quarantine ft. Tim

In the very first instalment of our quarantine-cast journey our friend Tim joins us to deliver camp news about internal affairs, well-being and a general quest to discover more about the residents who are trapped here. Conversations with our beloved Tim stray to vodka, chats about nudity and breathing exercises. I would also like to state that Tim's description of a vodka shot being " something that is a very rare and precious" does not reflect the views of the Quarantine Kids. Enjoy Mom.
