As a Field Training Officer, the new EMT’s performance is a direct reflection of your training. The way they develop their skills, handle calls, and apply their knowledge speaks to how effectively your guiding and mentoring them.

Well ya'll did it, nursing class of 2025 York Technical College is having their pinning ceremony today, you have earned it. 

A kind word and a pat on the back goes a long way. 

Had a talk with the daughter about is it really worth going to nursing school. When you have past medical experience and really know the good, the bad and the ugly of being a nurse why put yourself through school. Only you can answer that question.  

There will be times where you have to deal with bad ED calls and the after math of them. 

And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.....

Sorry for being very late on the podcast but I am my worst critic. 

Just a review on giving out the meds to the patients.

Well, it is official, I have passed my LPN test now with that listen for my story of the night. 

Just like what the title says, you have to listen to learn. 

Just trying to make it one test at a time, if you can relate......

Being one week out from my hip surgery, just have some thoughts to share.

Granulations for the LPN class continuing on for their RN degree, just 2 more semesters.    

Today, I completed LPN school, and with our pinning ceremony happening this Friday, I had the chance to speak with one of our nursing instructors, Shannon Pope Pohl. She offered invaluable advice and encouragement to our class. We are truly grateful for everything she and all the other instructors have done for us.

Here's a little tip for mastering the art of being a busy nurse when things are quieter than a library: perfect the art of organized chaos! Practice your best "I'm totally swamped" face while casually organizing your supplies, and throw in some dramatic sighs as you refill the hand sanitizer. Bonus points for making it look like you're on a critical mission while secretly planning your next coffee break!

As we start to finish up LPN school, some of us are far from the edge, some in the middle, some on the edge and some are just hanging on the edge.  #nursingschool, #nursing, #ems 

Everyone needs to decompress from time to time, whether it is in the break room or supply closet bitching and griping, we all do. Also, do not that person that does not resupply the rooms.  #nursingstudent,#nursingschool,#nursing,#ems

Like the title states, do you have your stuff together when going to work, class or clinical. 

Everyone has their nose in the books and review papers, Take a second a listen to the poem then back to studying. 

Nature is a wonder to look at and observe, many lessons to be learned and to apply to your life. 

When you are tired and done studying, you need to ask yourself why...

Are you to a point to where your old way of doing things are not working if so it's time to pivot. 

 Back again for an update, So how are your habits? Do you have good ones or bad ones or little of both? 

With so much going on in our lives with school and personal things how do you manage your time between both of them???? 

So the question is asked who is your tribe in nursing school?, Your buds or homies that you study with.

Well finally made it here, after many many years I have the chance to start nursing school. I am hoping to share the experience with anyone who would like to listen. 

Road-trip down to Tallahassee to visit FSU.

Many of you have seen my FaceBook post/videos of asking for help for an Afghanistan couple that made it over here. I had the opportunity to drive up and visit with them. We had a wonderful time talking and taking in some of the sights at DC. Listen up for the latest update with them. 

As I am taking a college course at night I find myself thinking that my instructor is not all into teaching this class. Take a listen to see our thoughts of doing a job well done. 

Well we are back on tract and sorry for being away. It's been a busy last month of the summer.
