Mame Durrance grew up on a pig farm in Cowbarn, Iowa, but her aspirations soared far beyond the fields. With a stroke of fortune from her aunts inheritance, she sets off to chase her dream of becoming a journalist. However, after a brief and disappointing stint in New York, she finds herself back at the family farm. Undeterred, Mame takes a leap across the Atlantic to England, eager to carve out her place in the world of journalism.
