    09. Building Your DIY Acting Reel (With a Little Help)

This week on The Glow Up Year, I’m celebrating a huge milestone—I booked my very first job of the year, a Maine tourism commercial through my new agent! 🎉 In this episode, I’m sharing what that moment meant for me, how I’m easing back into the glow-up after last week’s funk, and why I’m so excited for what’s ahead.I also take you behind the scenes of an amazing test shoot I did with the insanely talented photographer Eve Gagné (seriously, go check her out!). From playful props to experimenting with big facial expressions, this shoot felt less like work and more like hanging out with a friend. Eve’s gorgeous riverfront studio, fast turnaround time, and hilarious vibe made the whole experience unforgettable—and reminded me how powerful collaboration can be when two creatives come together to help each other grow. You can find Eve’s work and connect with her here: Instagram | Website. Finally, I dive into the next chapter of my own creative journey: updating my acting reel with a series of micro-short scripts I’m writing and producing. I’m pulling back the curtain on how I’m approaching the writing process, collaborating with my community, and keeping it realistic with micro-budgets and small crews. If you’ve been curious about what it really looks like to build your own work as an actor, this episode is packed with inspiration, behind-the-scenes details, and a reminder that your glow up unfolds one bold move at a time.2026 will be the year everything shifts for you!Mindset Coaching for Actors: If you’re tired of holding yourself back and want support I’d love to work with you. 08. The Quantum Leap Blues

Hey friend—welcome back to The Glow Up Year. If you've ever had a massive breakthrough only to crash right after... you're not alone. This week, I’m opening up about what I’m calling the Quantum Leap Blues—that disorienting moment when you’ve grown, leveled up, and stepped into a new version of yourself... but the world around you hasn’t caught up yet. After four powerful days at Coco Rocha Model Camp—where I felt confident, creative, and truly me—I came back home only to feel like I didn’t belong in my own life anymore. One small moment triggered a full-on spiral: old habits, self-sabotage, binge eating, isolation. My nervous system was screaming, “This is too much!” even though it was everything I had wanted. In this vulnerable episode, I walk you through what happened, how I moved through it, and why growth doesn’t always feel good in the moment. We talk about what it means to integrate a new version of yourself, how to ride out the lows after a high, and how to give yourself grace when you feel like you're regressing. If you’re stuck between who you were and who you're becoming—this one's for you.Let’s talk about the messy middle, the fear of success, and why you can have a glow up without losing yourself in the process.Because around here? We don’t gatekeep. We grow together.2026 will be the year everything shifts for you!Mindset Coaching for Actors: If you’re tired of holding yourself back and want support I’d love to work with you. 07. Inside Coco Rocha Model Camp: Was it Worth it?

So what really happens when you throw yourself into a dream opportunity—even when that little voice in your head keeps whispering “You’re not good enough”? I found out firsthand at Coco Rocha Model Camp, and wow… it changed everything. Before I even packed my bags, the imposter syndrome was LOUD. I fully convinced myself I’d be the worst model there, that my roommate would hate me, and that I’d somehow embarrass myself out of a career. (Spoiler: my roommate was an angel and I did not get kicked out.)From the moment I arrived, everything shifted. During my portfolio review, Coco said something that stopped me in my tracks: “If you want editorial work… how would anyone know from this portfolio?” Oof. That hit. And it sparked a total reframe: your book should reflect where you’re going—not just where you’ve been. What followed? Four days of intense posing, runway training, business coaching, and some of the most creative shoots I’ve ever done. I walked away with seven completely different looks (yes, including a mohawk moment) and a whole new direction for my career. If you’ve ever questioned whether investing in yourself is worth it—this episode is for you.💫 Want to see my photos?       Click here!My incredible roomie! 05. Agencies and Test Shoots and Websites—oh my!

The wheels are finally turning, y’all—and this entertainment career of mine? Fully in motion. After months of prepping, building my portfolio, and putting in consistent behind-the-scenes work, I’ve hit a streak of wins that feel like pure proof that when focus meets aligned action... magic happens. In this episode, I’m taking you behind the scenes of my very first agency meeting. I also got featured on The Model Workshop’s Instagram (!!!), booked a fire test shoot with the incredible Chelsea Bradway—think road signs, red pumps, and a jacket so good I had to buy it on the spot—and finally started building my acting website after putting it off forever. 04. I Ran an Audition Experiment… And It Changed Everything

Ever wonder what really makes an audition successful—besides booking the role? I’m back on the mic after a little hiatus, and today I’m sharing a behind-the-scenes look at a personal experiment I ran during a recent in-person callback at CP Casting.Instead of letting nerves take over, I walked in with a clear intention: to embody that “it factor” energy—neutral, grounded, and fully present. I turned the waiting room into a little mindset lab, noticing the difference between holding space versus shrinking under pressure. And when the teleprompter glitched (first way too fast, then painfully slow), I stayed rooted in the moment. The feedback? They loved my grounded choices and direction-following—major win, even if I didn’t walk away with the role. That experience ended up shaping my entire Q1 review as an actor. From callbacks to finally liking how I look on camera (!!!), to creating this podcast—there’s a lot to celebrate. I’m also being super real: I haven’t booked yet this year, and that’s okay. I’m not chasing just any role—I’m creating space for the right ones.Looking ahead to Q2, I’m focusing on fresh headshots, reel upgrades, coaching, and showing up like the version of me who’s already booked and busy. Oh—and I just got back some gorgeous model digitals from a workshop I did, and I’m obsessed.✨ Click here to check out my Model Workshop photos!Your glow-up doesn’t depend on a single job—it’s built on mindset, momentum, and showing up anyway. 03. Did I Just Break Up with Auditions?

Let’s talk about something that’s totally flipped the game for me. I used to believe I had to audition for everything—every breakdown, every opportunity, every maybe-fit role. But let’s be honest: that mindset is exhausting and lowkey soul-crushing.Here’s the plot twist: my best gigs? They didn’t come from the hustle of constant auditions. They came from clients who found me directly through my agency’s site. Yep—they picked me.That realization changed everything. I stopped scrambling for roles that didn’t feel aligned and started getting really intentional about the ones I say yes to. I’m no longer bending myself to fit every part—I’m finding the parts that actually fit me.This isn’t about doing less. It’s about doing it smarter. It’s about taking back some power in an industry that often feels like a never-ending audition room. Already this year, I’ve turned down multiple auditions that didn’t feel like a match—and instead of feeling FOMO, I felt free.Outside of that shift, I’ve been leveling up in other areas too—adding fresh e-comm photos to my portfolio from an amazing workshop, researching new markets (hey Connecticut!), and gearing up to update my demo reel. I’m building a brand that feels like me, not just checking boxes. So if you’re an actor, a model, a multi-passionate creative—whoever you are—just know this: saying no isn’t closing doors, it’s clearing the runway for the right ones to open.Stick around for more glow-up strategies, and remember: your next big move doesn’t have to be loud. It just has to be true. 💫2026 will be the year everything shifts for you!Mindset Coaching for Actors: If you’re tired of holding yourself back and want support I’d love to work with you.
