The Combs Enterprise- Diddy on Trial
In this episode, we go through the indictment for Sean "Diddy" Combs and relate it to things we learned in our human trafficking series. We discuss the different dynamics involved in such an enterprise and Diddy's far-reaching power. We talk about Diddy trying to control victims/witnesses while in custody and their narratives. We look into this power and control mindset and how it is indicative of an abuser/trafficker.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

Putting Purpose to Pain- Human Trafficking Series Episode 2

Calyn discusses the trauma she experienced, the court case that ended in her trafficker receiving 6 life sentences, and overcoming addiction. In Calyn's words, her time being trafficked was the most purposeful pain she has ever experienced, and wants to help others in similar situations.

Also joining them are two survivors from their Domestic Violence Speakers Bureau, Elena Rogers and Brandy Alexander. Elena is a secondary survivor, losing her sister to a domestic violence homicide just two years ago. Brandy is a survivor who began dating her abuser in high school as teens and has since raised 3 children and left that relationship and has published a book about her life and experiences.
