The stories highlight two core themes: 1) God Gives us identity and purpose 2) Healing and transformation happen in the context of love and belonging.1.    Daniel’s Story:A boy suffering from seizures and unable to speak was rejected and beaten by his community, who believed he was demon-possessed. The Social Welfare Department asked ORR to intervene. ORR’s Country Director and his wife took the boy into foster care, naming him Daniel. Just six weeks later, Daniel began to speak—marking the beginning of his healing journey. The story emphasizes that knowing our identity and value in God changes everything.2.    The Baby Girl:While talking with local women about child trafficking, Rebecca encountered a critically underweight baby girl (4.7 lbs at 8 months old). Go into the audience and there is a child that grabs my attention. God rips my heart apart for the life of the child in front of me.A young girl abandoned by her mother, was left to care for her 7-month-old brother while enduring abuse and harsh treatment from her aunt. She was forced to handle household chores, care for her cousins, and faced neglect and hunger. Orphan Relief and Rescue intervened, enrolling her in their program to ensure her safety while investigating her situation and searching for her mother. This case is part of a broader mission, including past rescues that have freed children from abuse and trafficking, impacting dozens of lives. Thanks to the organization’s efforts, Rose is now on the path to safety and protection.Confession in community brings freedom by breaking the power of sin when it’s brought into the light. In the area we serve, there’s a struggle between gods, similar to Daniel 6, but chiefs and villagers are seeing that Jesus Christ is victorious. This trip focused on ensuring open communication with village chiefs to protect staff and safely share the message of Jesus. The Country Director emphasized the importance of spreading hope, particularly in a village where 35 children were recently rescued. Rebecca encouraged families to bring children back home, offering support through their program.Chief’s of the village want tolearn more of Jesus because of the Almighty Power of God. God wants to use us to relieve the suffering of others. In this week’s episode, Rebecca shares a miraculous story of financial provision for ORR's safe home through a Holocaust survivor who was "paying it forward." She survived the Holocaust by serving in a convent in Switzerland. After the war, she was given a small stipend to begin a new life. Instead of living off the money, she invested it for the purpose of protecting others.
