#2. we’re not in a very chinese time of our lives. the diaspora, fitting in, & culture of the month
this last tuesday was monumental, with mardi gras, ramadan, and chinese new year all happening on the same day. april and cindy discuss their chinese heritage, roots, and traditions they are vaguely familiar with. with everyone and their mothers entering a chinese time of their lives, though april and cindy share similar third culture upbringing, they differ in their opinions regarding what is appropriation and appreciation, and what they’re willing to accept. also april wanted to be a kpop idol???
