    Love Letters to The Universe

This conversation with Vanessa Forbes moves beyond music as something we simply listen to… and into music as something we feel, something that meets us, and something that can open parts of us we may not have had access to before.Vanessa is a musician and space holder whose work sits at the intersection of sound, healing, and expression. What unfolds in this conversation is less about technique or performance, and more about what it takes to let something move through you.We explore the tension so many of us live in — between force and surrender, between trying to create something and allowing it to emerge. There’s also a deeper thread here around safety. What it actually means to feel at home in your body. And how that sense of safety shapes the way we express, create, and relate to life. This conversation gently opens into:creativity as something that moves through us, not from usThe role of surrender in both art and healingMusic as a pathway for emotional release and reintegrationThe intelligence of timing — and trusting when something is ready to be feltThe balance between structure and letting goWhat it means to be held, and to allow ourselves to receiveListen to Vanessa's new single Speak Your Truth out now on Spotify and all platforms.Connect with Vanessa on Instagram or stay up to date with her latest music and events on her website.Work with us!Sara de Clercq Contact - [email protected] Coaching & Self-Inquiry (Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HERECouples FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HEREFor inspiration on creative, authentic & radiant living, loving life & amazing free content, follow Sara on Instagram HEREBec SharpContact - [email protected] Psychotherapy (Byron surrounds, Sydney North or Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds, Sydney North) → BOOK HEREFor embodied wisdom, stories from the heart, and practices that bring you home to yourself, follow me on Instagram HEREMelissa MossContact - [email protected] FBR Breathwork (Sydney South) → BOOK HEREFor soulful, honest reflections, lived-in insight, and an inside look at Mel’s work as a practitioner, follow Mel on Instagram HERE.Dan KurlapskiContact - [email protected] out more about our upcoming FBR Practitioner Training with Breathwork Byron starting in April 2026 → FIND OUT MORE HEREResources + LinksWe Are Woman Podcast website: https://www.wearewoman.com.au/Follow along on Instagram: @wearewomanpodcastIf this episode resonates, share it with a woman you love because we’re not meant to do this alone. What is FBR Breathwork? Relaxed Intensity with Dan Kurlapski

In this conversation, we sit down with Dan Kurlapski, co-founder of Breathwork Byron and, Yes& Conscious Leadership. Dan’s work is grounded in a deep belief in thriving humans, in our capacity to meet life fully, and to live with more presence, range, and potential. Together, we explore the different ways we meet life - through doing, striving, bracing, or sometimes finding it hard to move at all - and how these patterns are often shaped by what is happening beneath the surface. We explore how, for many of us, doing can become a form of regulation. Movement can feel like safety, while stillness can feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable. And for others, it can be the opposite, where stillness feels more familiar, and accessing movement or activation can be the challenge. Over time, these patterns shape how we respond to life. Dan brings a grounded and practical perspective to this, helping us see how these tendencies live in the body, and how breath can begin to create space between us and the ways we’ve learned to cope. This conversation opens up a different way of relating to life by expanding our capacity to meet what’s here. Whether that’s activation or stillness, anger, sadness, fear, or even joy, love, and expansion. Relaxed intensity isn’t about controlling your state, but about having the capacity to be with whatever arises. To move when it’s time to move, to rest when it’s time to rest, and not need either one to define you. There is something deeply grounding in this, becoming more available to your full experience. More capacity. More presence. More range. And as you move through your day, perhaps there’s a gentle place to notice… where am I pushing? Where am I avoiding? And what might it feel like to meet this moment with a little more ease?Work with us!Sara de Clercq Contact - [email protected] Coaching & Self-Inquiry (Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HERECouples FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HEREFor inspiration on creative, authentic & radiant living, loving life & amazing free content, follow Sara on Instagram HEREBec SharpContact - [email protected] Psychotherapy (Byron surrounds, Sydney North or Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds, Sydney North) → BOOK HEREFor embodied wisdom, stories from the heart, and practices that bring you home to yourself, follow me on Instagram HEREMelissa MossContact - [email protected] FBR Breathwork (Sydney South) → BOOK HEREFor soulful, honest reflections, lived-in insight, and an inside look at Mel’s work as a practitioner, follow Mel on Instagram HERE.Dan KurlapskiContact - [email protected] out more about our upcoming FBR Practitioner Training with Breathwork Byron starting in April 2026 → FIND OUT MORE HEREResources + LinksWe Are Woman Podcast website: https://www.wearewoman.com.au/Follow along on Instagram: @wearewomanpodcastIf this episode resonates, share it with a woman you love because we’re not meant to do this alone. What is FBR Breathwork? The Return of the Sisterhood

In this episode of We Are Woman, we explore the idea of sisterhood and what becomes possible when women support one another instead of feeling like we are competing. Through conversation and gentle reflection, we look at how many of us have experienced both sides of this dynamic - the beauty of being uplifted and held by another woman, and the moments where comparison, judgment, or old wounds can quietly surface between us.We speak honestly about where some of these patterns can begin, often tracing back to early experiences in childhood, and how they can shape the way we relate to other women as adults. Inspired by the wisdom of nature, we reflect on the idea that flourishing rarely happens in isolation. Like ecosystems, we too tend to grow and thrive through connection, encouragement, and shared support. This conversation gently points toward collaboration as the deeper invitation. It opens space for greater awareness and compassion for ourselves and for the other women walking beside us, recognising that we are all navigating our own histories as we learn what it means to truly stand together. Bec closes the episode with a series of thoughtful journal prompts to help you reflect on your own experiences and consider how you might cultivate more openness, support, and connection with the women around you.Work with us!Sara de Clercq Contact - [email protected] Coaching & Self-Inquiry (Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HERECouples FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HEREFor inspiration on creative, authentic & radiant living, loving life & amazing free content, follow Sara on Instagram HEREBec SharpContact - [email protected] Psychotherapy (Byron surrounds, Sydney North or Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds, Sydney North) → BOOK HEREFor embodied wisdom, stories from the heart, and practices that bring you home to yourself, follow me on Instagram HEREMelissa MossContact - [email protected] FBR Breathwork (Sydney South) → BOOK HEREFor soulful, honest reflections, lived-in insight, and an inside look at Mel’s work as a practitioner, follow Mel on Instagram HERE.Find out more about our upcoming FBR Practitioner Training with Breathwork Byron starting in April 2026 → FIND OUT MORE HEREResources + LinksWe Are Woman Podcast website: https://www.wearewoman.com.au/Follow along on Instagram: @wearewomanpodcastIf this episode resonates, share it with a woman you love because we’re not meant to do this alone. What is FBR Breathwork? Where Nourishment Becomes Safety

Food has become confusing. We’re constantly being told what to eat, what to avoid, and how to optimise our health,  yet many of us feel more disconnected than ever. In this episode, we sit down with Amanda Powell, a nutritionist specialising in body composition, gut health and thyroid health, as well as GI mapping, food intolerance and functional testing, to explore what’s really going on beneath the noise. From the impact of stress and the nervous system to the subtle ways we override our body’s signals, this conversation is an invitation to simplify and come back to what actually matters. We also unpack the quiet reward/punishment cycle so many women find themselves in with food. Being “good” during the week, then letting go and feeling like we need to earn what we eat or make up for it later. Not in extreme ways,  but in the subtle, everyday patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves. Amanda brings a grounded, refreshing perspective on why this cycle isn’t really about food at all, but about control, guilt, and disconnection, and what it might look like to step out of that dynamic and into a more intuitive, supportive relationship with eating. And for those navigating this as mothers, we touch on the question many of us carry - what are we passing on to our children? Because kids don’t just learn what to eat, they learn how to feel about food. Together, we explore how we can model a more balanced, intuitive relationship;  not through perfection, but through awareness, presence, and a deeper connection to our own bodies.Work with us!Amanda Powellapnutrition.com.auSara de Clercq Contact - [email protected] Coaching & Self-Inquiry (Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HERECouples FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HEREFor inspiration on creative, authentic & radiant living, loving life & amazing free content, follow Sara on Instagram HEREBec SharpContact - [email protected] Psychotherapy (Byron surrounds, Sydney North or Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds, Sydney North) → BOOK HEREFor embodied wisdom, stories from the heart, and practices that bring you home to yourself, follow me on Instagram HEREMelissa MossContact - [email protected] FBR Breathwork (Sydney South) → BOOK HEREFor soulful, honest reflections, lived-in insight, and an inside look at Mel’s work as a practitioner, follow Mel on Instagram HERE.Find out more about our upcoming FBR Practitioner Training with Breathwork Byron starting in April 2026 → FIND OUT MORE HEREResources + LinksWe Are Woman Podcast website: https://www.wearewoman.com.au/Follow along on Instagram: @wearewomanpodcastIf this episode resonates, share it with a woman you love because we’re not meant to do this alone. What is FBR Breathwork? The Beauty of Burning: Where Shadow Meets Rebirth

In this week’s episode, we explore what shadow death really is. A deeply human process of shedding. The seasons where something that once fit no longer does. The identities, roles, and ways of operating that quietly begin to soften. We speak to how this can feel dark, disorienting, even tender at times, and how that darkness does not mean something is wrong. It can simply mean something is changing. We share what shadow death has felt like in our own bodies and lives in the grief, the uncertainty, the humility of letting something fall away. Simultaneously we also recognise that every woman’s experience will look different. This is not about blowing up your life or reinventing yourself overnight. It is an intentional process of re-remembering. A death and a growth unfolding at the same time. The quiet unraveling of what no longer feels true, and the slow emergence of something more aligned. We also speak to how FBR breathwork can support this in-between space. Not by rushing the rise, but by helping us stay with what is surfacing: the grief, the anger, the softness, the unknown. Breath becomes the anchor. The internal holding. The place we can return to while something old dissolves and something new begins to form. We begin in the darkness and gently move toward the love and light that often follows when we allow ourselves to evolve.Work with us!Sara de Clercq Contact - [email protected] Coaching & Self-Inquiry (Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HERECouples FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HEREFor inspiration on creative, authentic & radiant living, loving life & amazing free content, follow Sara on Instagram HEREBec SharpContact - [email protected] Psychotherapy (Byron surrounds, Sydney North or Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds, Sydney North) → BOOK HEREFor embodied wisdom, stories from the heart, and practices that bring you home to yourself, follow me on Instagram HEREMelissa MossContact - [email protected] FBR Breathwork (Sydney South) → BOOK HEREFor soulful, honest reflections, lived-in insight, and an inside look at Mel’s work as a practitioner, follow Mel on Instagram HERE.Find out more about our upcoming FBR Practitioner Training with Breathwork Byron starting in April 2026 → FIND OUT MORE HEREResources + LinksWe Are Woman Podcast website: https://www.wearewoman.com.au/Follow along on Instagram: @wearewomanpodcastIf this episode resonates, share it with a woman you love because we’re not meant to do this alone. What is FBR Breathwork? Follow The Whispers

This week’s conversation feels like a return to something ancient, familiar, and deeply needed. A space where women gather in honesty, in reflection, and in remembrance. Where stories are shared as lived experience. This is the essence of sitting in circle, and it’s exactly what unfolds here as we sit with Emma YeadonSpecialising in FBR Breathwork, Nervous System Regulation and Cacao Ceremony, Emma creates a container for profound healing and discovery. Emma shares her journey through a season of change that led her to Bali, and what unfolded from there. Together, we explore what it means to come home to yourself through embodiment, through breath, and through the integration of both the feminine and masculine within. We speak to the shifts that happen not just in the mind, but in the body, and how this work can gently reshape the way we relate to ourselves, to others, and to our own sense of strength and power. This conversation is a reminder that healing is not about becoming someone new, but about integrating what has always been there. About meeting the parts of ourselves we’ve hidden or hardened, and allowing them to belong. As you listen, you may find something in Emma’s story that resonates within your own; a quiet recognition, a softening, a remembering. The Language of Our Body

In this episode of We Are Woman, we slow things down and explore the practice that quietly underpins so much of what we speak about here — Facilitated Breath Repatterning. We share what this work is, how we’ve come to it, and why it has become such a foundational part of how we understand ourselves and move through the world. We speak to FBR as a practice that meets the body with safety rather than force. A way of listening to the body and hearing what it has to say in all its wisdom. We explore how the breath reflects our stress, our history, and our adaptations and what can begin to shift when the body is given the space to respond in its own time, without pressure or expectation. This conversation offers a different perspective on breathwork. One that doesn’t chase intensity or outcomes, but instead centres safety, awareness, and integration. It’s a gentle invitation to notice your own breath. Not to change it, but to become more aware of the choice within it, and what becomes possible when listening replaces effort.A note before you listen. This episode touches on psychedelic-assisted therapy as part of Beck's professional background and personal journey into breathwork. We want to be clear — we don't condone the improper or recreational use of psychedelics. This is an emerging therapeutic field that requires trained professionals and appropriate clinical oversight. If you're curious about whether psychedelic-assisted therapy might be right for you, you may reach out to Bec who can support you with access to a qualified mental health professional, or alternatively, speak with your own qualified mental health professional of choice. The Nervous System and the Lost Art of Real Rest

In this week’s episode, we explore the nervous system as the quiet system shaping our energy, pace, and experience of the world each day. There’s so much content out there on the “nervous system” but we speak to what it actually feels like to move through life in a body that is often “on,” and how many of us were navigating activation long before we had language for it. We touch lightly on the science - sympathetic, parasympathetic, what real rest looks like - while keeping the conversation anchored in lived experience. We share personal reflections, from sustained activation through things like coffee and constant stimulation, to the quiet realisation that scrolling or watching Netflix does not always equal true settling. We explore the difference between mental distraction and physiological rest, and how the body often speaks long before the mind understands why. This is an honest conversation about energy, sensation, and learning to recognise when we are actually safe enough to soften. We also gently weave in the role of breath as a way of listening to it. For us, breathwork has been one pathway into experiencing regulation and deep rest, rather than trying to think our way there. Breath, Integrity & the FBR Lineage

In this episode, Sara sits down with Edward, the founder of FBR Breathwork and the teacher who has guided each of us on our practitioner path. Together they open a thoughtful and spacious conversation about the story behind the work. They explore the technique itself, and the lived experience that led Edward to breathwork in the first place.Edward shares openly about his personal journey, the questions that shaped his path, and the moments that slowly revealed the power of working with the breath. He speaks to how FBR Breathwork developed over time through observation, curiosity, and deep respect for the intelligence of the body, and how this work has supported both his own life and the lives of many others. This conversation offers a glimpse into the heart behind the practice we so often speak about on the podcast. Listening Before the Body Has to Shout

Strength can look beautiful and unwavering from the outside. Capable. Composed. The one who holds it all together. In this episode, Mel opens the space to explore her story beneath that strength. The identity so many women are praised for, and the quiet cost it can carry. For years, holding it all together felt powerful. Until her body began to speak. A tight jaw. A braced diaphragm. Shoulders that never quite softened. What was once labelled “anxiety” slowly revealed itself as something else: a signal, not a flaw. This conversation traces the gentle unravelling that followed. Not dramatic. Not performative. Just the humbling moment when coping strategies that once created safety stop working, and old roles begin to dissolve. It is a reflection on listening to the body, on softening the armour, and on discovering who you are beneath competence and control. If you have ever felt tired of being the strong one, or sensed there is something more underneath your resilience, this episode offers a quiet recognition. Feminine Leadership

Leadership is often thought of as something we step into, but rarely as something we return to. Yet women lead. We always have. Often in ways that go unnamed, unseen, or unrecognised by traditional definitions of power and authority. In this conversation, we explore leadership as something that begins inside the self. Not as a role to earn or a way to perform, but as a way of being rooted in love, self-compassion, and the willingness to stay connected to what’s true. We speak about how self-abandonment quietly erodes leadership, and how leading from enoughness changes everything. We reflect on the difference between presence and performance, and the subtle ways women lose themselves when trying to be “the right kind” of leader. We also explore leadership as cyclical rather than linear, and why real leadership honours seasons of growth, rest, shedding, and renewal.Through nervous system awareness and breath, we return to the body as a guide. Slowing down, lengthening the exhale, and reconnecting with ourselves becomes a practice of leadership in real time. This conversation is an invitation to lead from truth, to honour your rhythm, and to remember that what you are looking for may already be here.Sara de Clercq Contact - [email protected] Coaching & Self-Inquiry (Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HERECouples FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HEREFor inspiration on creative, authentic & radiant living, loving life & amazing free content, follow Sara on Instagram HEREBec SharpContact - [email protected] Psychotherapy (Sydney North or Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Sydney North) → BOOK HEREFor embodied wisdom, stories from the heart, and practices that bring you home to yourself, follow me on Instagram HEREMelissa MossContact - [email protected] FBR Breathwork (Sydney South) → BOOK HEREFor soulful, honest reflections, lived-in insight, and an inside look at Mel’s work as a practitioner, follow Mel on Instagram HERE.Find out more about our upcoming FBR Practitioner Training with Breathwork Byron starting in April 2026 → FIND OUT MORE HEREResources + LinksWe Are Woman Podcast website: https://www.wearewoman.com.au/Follow along on Instagram: @wearewomanpodcastIf this episode resonates, share it with a woman you love because we’re not meant to do this alone. What is FBR Breathwork? From Runway to Remembrance

In this episode, we open the space for Sara’s story and meet her in the places that shaped her. It is an invitation to meet the human behind the voice of this space, and to understand what has informed her path, her work, and her relationship to being a woman.Sara shares her journey from entering the international modelling industry at 14 to the slow, repetitive conditioning that shaped her relationship with her body, women, and worth. We explore how outward success can exist alongside inner disconnection, and how her breaking point became the beginning of a deeper inquiry: who am I beyond performance, beyond image, and beyond being chosen? From shaving her head as a reclaiming to her first profound experience of FBR Breathwork in Bali, Sara speaks candidly about moving from perfectionism, control, and hypervigilance into embodiment, rest, receiving, and the kind of clarity that comes from living inside the body again.Sara de Clercq Contact - [email protected] Coaching & Self-Inquiry (Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HERECouples FBR Breathwork (Byron surrounds) → BOOK HEREFor inspiration on creative, authentic & radiant living, loving life & amazing free content, follow Sara on Instagram HEREBec SharpContact - [email protected] Psychotherapy (Sydney North or Online) → BOOK HERE1.1 FBR Breathwork (Sydney North) → BOOK HEREFor embodied wisdom, stories from the heart, and practices that bring you home to yourself, follow me on Instagram HEREMelissa MossContact - [email protected] FBR Breathwork (Sydney South) → BOOK HEREFor soulful, honest reflections, lived-in insight, and an inside look at Mel’s work as a practitioner, follow Mel on Instagram HERE.Find out more about our upcoming FBR Practitioner Training with Breathwork Byron starting in April 2026 → FIND OUT MORE HEREResources + LinksWe Are Woman Podcast website: https://www.wearewoman.com.au/Follow along on Instagram: @wearewomanpodcastIf this episode resonates, share it with a woman you love because we’re not meant to do this alone. What is FBR Breathwork? Power Restored

In this episode of We Are Woman, we slow power right down and ask a different question: what is power, really? Not the performative kind, and not dominance, confidence, or control, but the kind you can actually feel in your body. The kind that is steady, grounded, and quietly alive. We explore power as capacity: the ability to stay connected to yourself, your truth, your inner signals, and your boundaries while still being in relationship with the world. We speak to the ways power becomes distorted through conditioning, especially for women, how unclaimed power can turn into resentment, and why embodied power often looks like softness, surrender, and presence rather than loudness or force. Along the way, we weave in the nervous system, breath mechanics, and how early developmental stages shape our sense of agency, safety, and self-trust.This conversation is an invitation to reconsider what power feels like when it’s rooted in the body. To notice where you’ve equated power with control or performance, and what becomes possible when power is allowed to be quiet, relational, and deeply grounded.Thank you for listening to this episode. What Can I Learn From This?

This week on We Are Woman, we sat with Bec, founder of The Sharp Mind and a Strategic Psychotherapist who works in partnership with your nervous system. Using transformative modalities including Facilitated Breath Repatterning (FBR) breathwork, hypnotherapy, somatic practices, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Bec helps you restore balance and healing. In this episode, Bec shares what it’s like to live with deep sensitivity and responsibility, and a nervous system shaped by both love and vigilance. She speaks openly about the fear of being “too much,” how hyper-responsibility became an identity, and the ways generational trauma can shape patterns of alertness and self-monitoring. She also shares her bottom-up approach to healing, why the body comes before the mind, and what makes nervous-system work, including FBR Breathwork, so different through safety, sequencing, co-regulation, and gently expanding capacity without force. This conversation is for the woman who carries a lot, often without realising how much, and for those of us living in a body that doesn’t know how to truly rest. It’s an invitation to meet sensitivity not as a burden, but as a strength, and to remember that responsibility can be a choice, not an identity.Thank you for listening to this episode. Where Authenticity Meets Belonging

Authenticity isn’t something we do alone. It’s something we practice in relationship. In the moments we’re seen, challenged, mirrored, and held.In this episode, we explore the dance between authenticity and belonging. We discuss the ways we shapeshift to be accepted, the masks we wear to stay connected, and the deeper truth underneath it all that belonging isn’t about fitting in, it’s about being met.We speak to shame as the invisible bridge that disconnects us from both authenticity and belonging, the role of attachment and nervous system safety, and why healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens in the face of each other. This is a conversation about coming home to yourself, without abandoning yourself to stay connected.Thank you for listening to this episode.
