This is the first conversation I had for this podcast. Tinca and I talked about Mexico Set by Len Deighton, the book she was reading. I love the ending as it so much reflects what this podcast is: a creative experiment. Thank you for listening.

An Introduction
Hi, welcome! This Is the Who Is Reading? podcast by Samira El Omari. As a writer and curious person I often wonder what people are reading. I look at the readers of this time with a sense of wonder and excitement and if I dig deeper I think this is to do with hope. Isn't wanting to relate to what writers think and feel, wanting to read about ideas a sign of hope? A way to relate to yourself in a world overflowing with distraction? I intend for these interviews to be at least as much about the reader as the book they're reading and any book whether it's fiction, non fiction, poetry or none of these will be worth a conversation on this podcast.
