the threshold: why we stand frozen at the edge of what we want

There's a moment you recognize if you've lived it. You can see what you want. You can feel that something needs to change. And you are completely frozen at the edge of it.That's the threshold. And in this episode, I'm talking about what it actually feels like to stand there. Not from the other side, but from inside it. The grip. The resentment that builds when you don't move. The way we convince ourselves we're being careful when we're actually just staying stuck. This episode is also an invitation into Awake: The Threshold to Becoming — a 9-week container for women who are ready to finally cross. Two spots remain. We begin April 1st.Learn more and registerFollow me on Instagram @iamtinamelendez Come sit with me in meditation. when food becomes coping: binge eating, inner child healing, and recovery with ronni robinson

n this episode, I sit down with Ronni Robinson, a certified eating disorder recovery coach and author of Out of the Pantry: A Disordered Eating Journey. Ronni spent 30 years struggling with binge eating before finding her way to recovery over 17 years ago.We explore how coping mechanisms like binge eating often develop in childhood as responses to emotional needs that weren't being met. Not from major trauma necessarily, but from the everyday experiences of not being emotionally seen or heard. The moments that taught us our feelings weren't safe or acceptable.Ronni shares honestly about how food became a way to control something when everything else felt out of control. How it consumed her thoughts, her social experiences, her entire life. And how recovery wasn't about diets or willpower, but about finally addressing the wounds underneath. This conversation is for anyone who has ever used something external to cope with something internal. Whether it's food, alcohol, work, perfectionism, or people-pleasing, the pattern is the same: we reach for something outside ourselves because we never learned we could handle what's inside. If you're ready to understand your own patterns with more compassion, this episode will meet you where you are.Connect with Ronni:Instagram: @recoverwithronniWebsite: www.ronnirobinson.comBuy her book: Out of the Pantry-----Follow me on Instagram @iamtinamelendez Come sit with me in meditation. the freeze response: why your body shuts down (and how to move through it)

Last week I shared that I was stuck in freeze - overwhelmed by what's unfolding in this country and unable to process it all. This week, I want to offer something to actually help.In a women's circle I held this week, I heard the same thing from woman after woman: it's not just the collective crisis. It's holding our personal lives - struggling marriages, financial stress, grief, health challenges - while the world crumbles around us. The weight of both is too much. And underneath it all, the same question: Am I doing this right? In this episode, I explore what freeze actually is (a biological survival response, not a character flaw), why our nervous systems are shutting down right now, and the shadow patterns that pile on when we're stuck - the Self-Doubter and Perfectionist telling us we're not doing enough. Then I lead you through a 3-minute somatic shaking practice to help move the stuck energy and interrupt the freeze. Based on how animals naturally complete the stress cycle, this practice is simple, accessible, and something you can return to whenever you feel yourself going numb. You don't have to hold it all perfectly. You just have to keep moving through.Follow me on Instagram @iamtinamelendez Come sit with me in meditation. facing what's real: i will no longer be silently complicit

I am heartbroken. The country I was sold is a farce. The Epstein files are showing us just how deep the corruption goes. I'm disgusted—not surprised, but disgusted. As an SA survivor, this moment is incredibly triggering. Even the commentary on the files brings a surge of helplessness to my system. As an empath, I feel the pain of the victims. As someone who has survived my own trauma, it all comes flooding back as though it's happening in real time.Watching American citizens executed in the streets. Young children used as bait to capture their immigrant parents. Families torn apart. It's too much for my system. And I know that's exactly what they want. This is their strategy—flooding the zone to overwhelm us so we can't keep up, so it becomes normalized. I refuse to let any of this become normal. I refuse to stay silent and complicit. In this episode, I share where I'm at: stuck in freeze, overwhelmed with grief, struggling to understand how anyone can look at another human being and feel superior to them. And I share what I'm learning about protecting ourselves so that we can show up—because we need to show up. We need to gather in community, hold each other, and find our light together. If we isolate. If we hide. If we shut down—they win.I'm inviting you to gather with me on Sunday in my women's circle, Sacred Space Annapolis. Pay what you can. If you are unable to pay anything, please email me at [email protected]. This isn't about a sale. It's about building a community that holds one another through this. Our democracy, our freedom, everything is on the line.Follow me on Instagram @iamtinamelendez Come sit with me in meditation. on control, loss, and learning to let things be: birthday reflections

Yesterday I turned 42.I love birthdays. Not the celebrating necessarily - that's complicated. But the threshold of it. The closing out of one year and stepping into a new one. A personal new year that isn't tied to a collective restart.41 was an incredibly difficult year for me. It didn't let up. One thing after another, after another, for the entire year. And somewhere in the midst of it all, I learned something about non-attachment. About letting go. About allowing things to move through me instead of gripping so tightly to outcomes I can't control. This is my birthday reflection - on a hard year, on what I'm learning about control and loss, and on stepping through the threshold into 42.This is also the final episode of 2025. I'm taking the next few weeks off to be with my family. I'll see you in 2026.Oracle Card Readings:Choose from a 3 or 13 card reading. Starting at $24. i f*ing hate the wind: on control, chaos, and learning to let go

I've been thinking about wind. About chaos. About what happens when you spend your whole life trying to control everything. There's a wind card in the Mystical Shaman Oracle deck, and every time I pull it, I think the same thing: I f*ing hate the wind. It represents chaos to me. The uncontrollable. And I realized something this week. I've been using over-preparation as armor. My way of trying to control everything so I never have to feel that out-of-control wind-in-my-face sensation.I grip. I plan. I anticipate every variable. But what that's actually done is keep me from trusting myself.2024 was the year I resisted the crumbling. 2025 has been about learning to surrender.I'm standing at a threshold right now - between who I was and who I'm becoming. And I'm beginning to see the wind as an invitation to acknowledge how little I actually control. How much magic becomes available when I stop gripping so tightly and just trust myself to handle what comes.Follow me on Instagram @iamtinamelendezCome sit with me in meditation. when grief becomes an awakening: tracy laskos on coming home to yourself

What happens when life doesn't follow the script you were handed? When loss cracks you open and forces you to ask: who am I without all these roles, all these expectations, all these stories I've been told about who I'm supposed to be?In this episode, I sit down with Tracy Laskos, author, conscious leadership advisor, and founder of Wings of Truth, to talk about the seasons of unraveling we all go through, and what it means to come home to yourself when everything else falls away.Tracy shares her journey through profound loss, including losing her mom while she was a new mother herself. She talks about how grief became an awakening rather than something to overcome, and how that loss pulled back the veil and opened her to a deeper spiritual path.We dive into shadow work and what it really means to integrate rather than eliminate parts of ourselves. Tracy offers this beautiful reframe: the darkness is required for the light to be seen. We also explore leadership through vulnerability, the metamorphosis process, and what it means to witness transformation—both in ourselves and in the people we love. This conversation is honest, grounded, and deeply moving. If you're in a season of unraveling, if you've ever felt like life was asking you to let go of who you thought you were so you could become who you actually are, this episode is for you.Tracy recently published her first book, The Spark Within: An Authentic Journey Home, which weaves her personal story with journal prompts and reflection points to support your own healing journey.Connect with Tracy:Instagram: @tracylaskosWebsite: https://www.wingsoftruth.co/Book: Purchase NowFollow me on Instagram @iamtinamelendez Come sit with me in meditation. when small things feel like catastrophes

Ever notice how something small can suddenly feel like the end of the world? And then you either go into full control mode trying to manage every detail, or you completely give your power away hoping someone else will fix it?In this episode, I break down three interconnected shadow archetypes that show up especially strong during stressful times (hello, holiday season): the catastrophizer, the micromanager, and the damsel. The catastrophizer is at the root - it's the part of us that blows things out of proportion, that pulls from our teenage energy of being overly dramatic and out of control of our emotions. From there, we typically split into one of two responses: we either become the micromanager who tries to control everyone and everything to feel safe, or we become the damsel who steps out of our power and looks to someone else to save us.I share how these shadows show up in my own life - with my kids, my partner, everyday situations that suddenly feel massive - and walk you through the RISE Method for working with them: Recognize the pattern, Inquire with compassion, Shift the relationship, and Embody the transformation. In this episode:How the catastrophizer pulls us into teenage drama energyWhy micromanaging actually pushes people away instead of keeping us safeWhat it means to "play damsel" and dim your power for othersWhy starting small (like with folding towels) is key to breaking these patternsHow these three shadows are actually trying to protect youKey insight: Control is an illusion. When you're micromanaging others or giving your power away, you're operating from the belief that you're not safe unless something outside you changes. The real work is coming back into your body and responding from your actual power, not your panic.Upcoming Events:Illuminate Your Shadows - November 21, 7pm, Groundswell Yoga, Annapolis, MD: Work with the Catastrophizer, Micromanager, and Damsel through guided meditation and energy work. from gold stars to soul work: creating spaces that honor your true self with lynne niehaus

What happens when you spend years chasing gold stars and external validation, only to realize you've lost yourself completely in the process? In this deeply honest conversation, intuitive color and interior design specialist Lynne Niehaus shares her journey from molecular biologist to soul-aligned space creator - and how dismantling her "perfect life" became her greatest breakthrough.Lynne Niehaus is an artist and medium with a degree in Molecular Biology who now guides clients through the energetic properties of color, organization, and layout to transform the way they feel and function in their homes. Her design firm, Lynne Niehaus Interiors, blends science, design aesthetics, and ancient traditions with a touch of spirituality to help clients thrive in their home landscapes. In this conversation, Lynne opens up about recognizing the emotional abuse she'd normalized, the moment her coworkers' shock became a mirror she couldn't ignore, and the courage it took to leave for the sake of her daughters. We explore how her background in molecular biology informs her design work, why she sees color as both mathematics and medicine, and what it means to create spaces that reflect your soul rather than impress others. This conversation goes beautifully woo - from Mayan galactic timekeeping to painting a child's soul after a dream visit - while staying grounded in practical wisdom about pattern recognition, shadow work, and the healing power of sitting with the mess before rushing to clean it up.In this episode:How chasing gold stars keeps us trapped in patterns that don't serve usRecognizing emotional abuse when you're so deep inside itThe connection between our external spaces and internal landscapesWhy color affects us on a cellular levelWhat it means to create from authenticity instead of aestheticsHow to work with shadow patterns in our physical environmentsThe importance of sitting with the mess before finding the beautyConnect with Lynne:Instagram: @lynne_niehaus1Website: www.lynneniehaus.comFree download: Color Demystified guide Upcoming Events:Illuminate Your Shadows - November 21, 7pm, Annapolis, MD: Work with the Catastrophizer, Micromanager, and Damsel shadow archetypes in a guided meditation circle. when democracy triggers your shadows: collective healing in crisis

In this raw and unfiltered episode, I'm doing something different. I'm sharing my real-time processing of the November 4, 2025 election results - not as political commentary, but as an example of shadow work in action during collective crisis. This episode explores what happens when we get triggered by current events, how we "other" people whose beliefs threaten us, and why the only path forward requires us to turn inward and examine our own fears, resistance, and patterns. You'll hear me grapple with:The challenge of seeing humanity in those who celebrate harm to marginalized communitiesHow fear-based beliefs drive division and hoarding of powerWhy our tendency to "other" people is a shadow pattern that perpetuates the very systems we're trying to changeThe invitation to get curious about our triggers instead of being controlled by themHow individual inner work is the foundation for collective transformationThis isn't easy listening. It's uncomfortable. It's political. And it's exactly the kind of shadow work our world needs right now.If you're ready to examine your own reactions to the chaos around us, this episode is your invitation to turn inward and begin the work of transforming yourself - which is the only way we transform the collective.Follow me on Instagram @iamtinamelendez Ready to step into the shadows? samhain: what's dying + what's wanting to be birthed?

This weekend marks Samhain—also known as Halloween or Día de los Muertos—the sacred threshold between the light and dark halves of the year, when the veil between worlds is thinnest. This isn't just about costumes and candy. This is the moment when we honor our ancestors, acknowledge what's ready to die within us, and make space for what wants to be born.In this episode, I share what Samhain actually is, why you might be feeling more emotional or having old patterns surface intensely right now (it's by design), and how to work with this threshold energy rather than resist it.You'll discover:What Samhain asks of us: the death question and the birth questionWhy old patterns are bubbling up right now—and what they're showing youA simple ritual practice for releasing what's ready to die and making space for what wants to emergeWhy winter is for gestation, not forcing growth (and why capitalism wants you to forget this)How to trust the darkness instead of fearing itIf you've been feeling patterns resurface that you thought you'd healed, if you're exhausted trying to force growth when you need rest, or if you're ready to work WITH the season instead of against it—this episode is for you.Resources mentioned:Illuminate Your Shadows meditation circle (Nov 21): Register hereIf you're affected by the government shutdown and need support accessing this event, reach out to me directly at [email protected] me on Instagram @iamtinamelendez Come sit with me in meditation. standing at the threshold: what it feels like to stop hiding

Three moments in 24 hours. Each one pointing to the same truth. Each one asking: when are you going to stop pretending you're not this?In this vulnerable episode, I share what it actually feels like to stand at an identity threshold—not the comfortable kind where you know what's on the other side, but the kind where stepping through means you can't go back.I walk you through three pivotal moments that happened within two days: a mentor's response that I'd written down before she even said it to me, an assignment that made my body tense with recognition, and a therapy session where a full-body realization hit about my relationship with darkness and crisis. This isn't about making sweeping proclamations or becoming someone new. It's about recognizing when your body is telling you the truth, understanding what threshold work actually feels like, and learning to distinguish between "are you ready?" and "are you willing?"You'll discover:✨ The physical sensations that signal you're standing at a threshold✨ Why hiding your gifts creates the very self-doubt you're trying to avoid✨ What it means to be a threshold walker (and that final threshold I've held space for)✨ How to recognize when you're at your own identity threshold✨ Why thresholds don't wait for you to be ready—they just keep appearing until you walk throughIf you've been softening your truth, hiding your gifts, or waiting to be ready before claiming who you actually are, this episode will help you recognize the threshold you're standing at.Resources mentioned:Illuminate Your Shadows meditation circle (Oct 24): Register hereLast week's episode on Fixer and Caregiver archetypes: Listen hereFollow me on Instagram @iamtinamelendez Come sit with me in meditation. the fixer and the caregiver: when helping becomes hiding

In this very personal episode, I share my intimate experience with two shadow archetypes that shaped my life from age six: the Fixer and the Caregiver.I explore how these protective patterns develop in childhood—often through being thrust into adult roles too early—and why they persist into adulthood even when they no longer serve us. You'll discover the subtle but crucial differences between these two archetypes, how to recognize when you're operating from shadow versus integrated expression, and why awareness alone isn't enough to break these deeply ingrained cycles.I also share practical guidance on building the muscle of conscious choice: from noticing patterns after the fact, to catching yourself mid-moment, to eventually choosing different responses before the pattern fully activates. This episode is essential listening if you've ever wondered why you struggle to let others experience natural consequences, why you scan every room for threats to harmony, or why you can't seem to stop putting everyone else's needs before your own.Join me for the next Illuminate Your Shadows meditation circle on Friday, October 24th at 7pm (in-person in Annapolis or virtual). reclaiming you: when your inner child demands to be seen

In this raw and vulnerable episode, I share the midnight note that changed everything – a truth I'd been carrying but didn't realize I needed to address. A month and a half ago, I woke up having written something that made me deeply uncomfortable: "I want to be Tina Melendez."I dive into why reclaiming my birth name isn't about my marriage or legal documents – it's about honoring the little girl inside me who had big dreams but was told they were selfish and egotistical. The younger Tina who wanted to see her name in lights, who dreamed of having a platform, who believed she had something important to share with the world. This episode marks the beginning of a new chapter as I officially step into my work as Tina Melendez – not rejecting who I've become as Tina Hamilton, but reclaiming the part of myself that got left behind when I learned to blend into the background instead of shining. If you've ever put down a dream because it seemed foolish or unrealistic, if you've dimmed your light to make others comfortable, or if there's something you've been wanting to reclaim but haven't found the courage yet – this episode is for you.Current offerings mentioned:Healing in the Middle of Life 30-Day Program: Join today!Illuminate Your Shadows: Meeting Your Fixer & Caregiver (October 24, 7pm Annapolis): Register nowNew Instagram: @iamtinamelendez Follow me on Instagram @iamtinamelendez Come sit with me in meditation. Healing in the Middle of Life: When you can't just Disappear

In this deeply vulnerable episode, I share from the depths of one of my darkest seasons - the overwhelming grief, the physical recovery challenges, and the realization that I've been living in protective patterns that no longer serve me.I explore the reality that most of us can't just step away from our responsibilities to heal in isolation, despite what we see modeled in spiritual communities. Instead, we have to figure out how to transform while still showing up for our children, our partners, our work, and our lives. This episode is about the messy middle of transformation - that terrifying blank canvas that emerges when we start dropping the conditioning and protective mechanisms that once kept us safe. It's about finding community with others who are navigating this same journey of becoming while still living in the life the old versions of ourselves built.I also share details about a new 30-day healing container I'm opening on October 1st - a space for daily 5-minute practices that honor the reality that healing happens right here in the middle of our beautiful, chaotic lives. If you're feeling lost, unmoored, or like you're living a life that doesn't fit who you're becoming, this episode is for you. You're not alone, and transformation doesn't require you to abandon your life - it requires you to show up differently within it.Join me for 30 days of Healing in the Middle of Life here Follow me on Instagram @intuitive.soulutions Come sit with me in meditation. When your soul demands a complete life audit: navigating the shedding phase

In this raw and vulnerable episode, I share from the depths of my own shedding phase—that sacred space where your soul demands you examine every structure in your life and ask: "Is this truly mine, or was it built from wounds and conditioning?"Fresh from taking an unintentional break from all business activities, I explore what it means to let your soul lead the way, even when it feels completely out of control. I talk about the profound process of questioning everything you've built—your goals, beliefs, patterns, and structures—to discern what's authentic versus what was created from conditioning. This isn't a typical "how-to" episode with clear answers. Instead, it's an invitation into the messy, uncomfortable, and ultimately transformative space of deep self-inquiry. I share how I'm navigating this phase through ceremony, introspection, and radical honesty with myself about what truly belongs in my life moving forward. If you've ever found yourself questioning whether the life you've built actually reflects who you are becoming, this episode offers companionship for that profound journey of reconstruction.Let's Connect:🧘‍♀️ Join me on September 12th at 7:00PM for a journey into the shadows at groundswell in Annapolis. In this deeply moving episode, I sit down with Master Healer Cheryl Pace, founder of Be the Change – The Healing Collective, to explore her profound transformation from burnout to awakened healer through a near-death experience and subsequent paralysis.Cheryl shares her powerful journey of ignoring the universe's gentle nudges until life literally stopped her in her tracks – first through a near-death experience in 2019, and then through COVID-induced paralysis that forced her into four months of complete stillness. It was in that sacred pause that she finally connected to her gifts and learned what it truly means to "share the light."We dive deep into:✨ Why forced stillness often becomes our greatest teacher✨ The soul-to-soul method and working in the Akashic records✨ How to recognize your body's "yes" vs "no" signals✨ The shamanic healing wheel and the journey from shedding to sovereignty✨ Why it's not our job to "fix" people but to hold sacred space✨ Moving from competition to collaboration in the healing spaceCheryl's story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes we have to completely surrender to remember who we truly are, and that our deepest wounds often become our most potent medicine.Whether you're feeling called to explore your own healing gifts or you're in your own season of forced stillness, this conversation offers profound insights about trusting the journey and stepping into your authentic power.🌿 Connect with Cheryl:Be the ChangeInstagram: bethechange_healingcollectiveFacebook: Be the Change Healing Collective🌿 Connect with me:Follow me on Instagram @intuitive.soulutions Come sit with me in meditation. As Deep as the Darkness: How Shadow Work Expands Our Capacity for Beauty

In this deeply personal episode, I share what five weeks of post-surgery recovery revealed about the profound relationship between shadow and light. While healing, I discovered something unexpected: the more I've learned to sit with collective pain and personal darkness, the more beauty I'm able to see and receive. This led me to wonder—is our capacity to experience beauty only as deep as our ability to feel darkness?Just as we can only love others to the extent we love ourselves, I explore whether we can only experience wonder to the degree we can hold pain. You'll hear about the moments that caught my heart during recovery, how forced stillness taught me to notice butterflies and ant colonies while holding space for global suffering, and why some of us are meant to transmute collective darkness into something beautiful. This isn't about choosing light over shadow—it's about discovering how they dance together to create a more integrated, alive way of being in the world.Follow me on Instagram @intuitive.soulutions Come sit with me in meditation. Why Aren't You Writing? A Birthday Tribute to My Guiding Star

In this deeply personal episode, I share the story of my cousin Danielle, who would have been 42 today. Seven years after losing her to addiction, I'm finally ready to own the truth she saw in me before I could see it myself - that I'm a writer.Danielle's last question to me was simple but life-changing: "Why aren't you writing?" Three weeks later, she was gone. But her influence on my life has only grown stronger. Today I share how her death cracked me open, how I feel her guidance in the shadow work I now facilitate, and how the very work that flows through me might have saved her life.I also share one of her poems from just weeks before she passed - a raw, powerful piece about her own shadow work and awakening to her purpose as a poet. This episode is my annual tribute to the woman who taught me that our wounds can become our wisdom, and our pain can become our purpose.Listen as I explore how grief can activate our gifts, how the dead continue to guide us, and why sometimes we need to lose everything to find who we're meant to be.Listen to Danielle performing her poem: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/16wed8ZCwy/ If you're walking through grief, you might also find comfort in my episodes starting January 23 - February 20 when I lost my brother-in-law: https://open.spotify.com/episode/2vd6h8rFjj7hvHzPFyFz0C?si=17e00096c7504e26Follow me on Instagram @intuitive.soulutions Come sit with me in meditation. When your biggest fear becomes your greatest growth edge

In this deeply vulnerable episode, I share my real-time experience with one of my biggest shadow patterns just days before major abdominal surgery. As someone who struggles deeply with the Hyper Independent shadow archetype, being told I can't lift anything over 5 pounds for 8+ weeks has brought me face-to-face with my greatest growth edge. I open up about the fear, resistance, and opportunity that comes with being forced to ask for and receive help. You'll hear me work through the RISE Method in real time as I navigate this triggering situation. I share how the Hyper Independent shadow shows up: burning out before asking for help, believing others are unreliable, and filling gaps before people can step in to support us.I explore the concept of confirmation bias and how our shadows scan for evidence that supports limiting beliefs, plus the profound shift that happens when we begin looking for ways people are showing up for us, even if it's different than we expected. This episode is raw, honest, and unpolished...exactly what shadow work looks like when we're in the thick of transformation. Whether your prominent shadow is the Hyper Independent, Perfectionist, People Pleaser, or another shadow archetype, you'll find practical wisdom for recognizing when the universe is trying to get your attention and choosing differently before it's too late.If you're ready to examine your own shadow patterns and make different choices when they show up, this episode offers both permission to be messy in your growth and practical tools for transformation.Follow me on Instagram @intuitive.soulutions Join my mailing list: https://www.intuitive-soulutions.com/shadow-meditationStock Media provided by AudioAquamarine / Pond5

Breathe into Shadow with Trish Brewer

In this powerful conversation, I sit down with my friend and Reiki Master Teacher Trish Brewer to explore how breathwork can transform our relationship with our shadow patterns.Trish shares her healing journey—from a hospital visit that changed everything to discovering breathwork at a festival in Vermont, where she experienced what she calls "a coming home." We dive deep into how breathwork creates a bridge between the conscious and unconscious mind, allowing us to befriend our shadows rather than fight them. You'll discover:✨ How shadows form as protective patterns in childhood and why they're actually hidden allies✨ The science behind why active breathwork can help complete stuck trauma cycles in your nervous system✨ Why shadow work is like working with a toddler—requiring patience, compassion, and understanding✨ How breathwork creates a strong enough container to hold whatever arises during integration✨ Why healing is a lifelong journey (and how to find joy along the way)Trish beautifully explains how our shadows—like the perfectionist, people pleaser, or hyper independent—once served to protect us but may now be limiting our growth. She shares practical insights about how breathwork can help us move these patterns through our body rather than keeping them stored and stuck.Whether you're curious about breathwork, ready to explore your own shadow patterns, or looking for somatic tools to complement your healing journey, this episode offers both compassionate insight and practical wisdom.Connect with Trish Brewer:Website: www.trishbrewer.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/trishbrewerbreathwork 100 Poems & Possibilities for Healing, Volume 2Referenced in this episode:From Feathers to Buses: How life forces us awake with Amber CornwallJoin us for Breathe into Shadow: A Journey of IntegrationThursday, June 19, 6-8PM in AnnapolisRegister hereFollow me on Instagram @intuitive.soulutions Download a free meditation: https://www.intuitive-soulutions.com/shadow-meditationStock Media provided by AudioAquamarine / Pond5

After returning from a transformative solo retreat in the Northeast and experiencing profound shifts during the recent Scorpio full moon, I'm ready to burn down what no longer serves and invite you into a new kind of relationship.I share my realization that trying to force myself into traditional business "boxes" was causing me to show up inauthentically—the very pattern I help visionary women overcome in their own lives. Just as I discovered in my teaching career years ago, true connection doesn't happen through rigid structures, but through authentic presence. This episode explores how shadow work has helped me recognize when I'm forcing myself to fit into conditioned ways of being that don't resonate—and how this insight has transformed my approach to business and healing.Join me as I invite you into a more personal relationship—one where we can connect like friends sharing wisdom, rather than through funnels and formulas. I share personal stories of my own journey with these shadows, especially my struggle with hyper-independence, and offer practical tools for recognizing and transforming these patterns in your own life and business. As above, so below

In this introspective episode, I explore the ancient hermetic principle "As within, so without. As above, so below. As the universe, so the soul," focusing specifically on the profound wisdom of "as above, so below." I share how this powerful mantra has carried me through an intense 18-month Pluto square transit—a period of relentless transformation, death and rebirth cycles. When life feels particularly chaotic or heavy, I've found deep comfort in zooming out to witness the reflection between my personal experience and the larger patterns happening in my community, the collective consciousness, and the cosmos itself. Drawing on the concept of fractals—patterns that remain consistent no matter how far you zoom in or out—I discuss how our individual experiences mirror the cosmic dance. We are not separate from nature; we are nature itself. Our personal chaos often reflects larger cosmic shifts, offering us perspective and profound opportunities for growth. This episode invites you to find solace in life's chaos by recognizing these universal patterns, embracing the lessons they offer, and integrating this wisdom in ways that resonate with your personal journey. Anchors in the Storm: Rituals for Navigating Grief

In the depths of grief, how do we find our way back to ourselves? This week's episode explores the intimate practices and rituals that serve as lighthouses in the darkness of loss. Whether you're carrying the personal grief of losing a loved one, a beloved pet, a relationship, a job, or processing the collective heartache we all hold as we witness the state of our world, this episode meets you where you are. Join me as I peel back the layers of my healing journey and share the three anchors that are helping me navigate these turbulent waters: therapy, journaling, and the profound medicine of community. Through tears and truth-telling, I reveal how these practices are more than just self-care checkboxes – they're lifelines that remind us that grief is a chapter of our story, not the whole book. We dive deep into the transformative power of being witnessed in safe spaces, where we can simultaneously honor our pain and remember the fullness of who we are beyond it. This episode offers a tender exploration of how ritual and practice can help us hold both our grief and our light. Discover how showing up in community spaces can spark creativity and reconnection with our authentic selves, even as we navigate the heaviest of emotions. This is an invitation to remember that while grief may feel all-consuming, there are practices that can help us find our way back to solid ground – back to the truth that we are so much more than the pain we're carrying. The Power of Being Held

In the raw landscape of grief, who are we when our carefully constructed independence begins to crack? This week's episode explores the unexpected lessons that emerge when life forces us to put down our armor of self-reliance and open ourselves to community support. Journey with me as I share my evolving experience of grief following my brother-in-law's passing – from being his final phone call to navigating the complex emotions of feeling "unworthy" of grieving as a sister-in-law.We dive deep into the societal messages around grief hierarchies and the transformative power of allowing ourselves to be witnessed in our pain. For someone who has proudly "bootstrapped" through life, this episode unpacks the beautiful, challenging journey of learning to receive help. Discover how resistance to support not only limits our own healing but also denies others the opportunity to show up for us in ways we never imagined possible. Moving through Grief: 3 stages of crisis & loss

[CONTENT WARNING: This episode discusses the loss of a loved one and contains raw, emotional content about grief and bereavement. The energy level reflects the genuine experience of processing loss.] In this deeply personal episode, I open up about my journey through grief following the loss of my brother-in-law. With vulnerability and honesty, I share my experience of navigating what I've identified as the three distinct stages of crisis: the initial crisis itself, the void that follows, and the gradual process of rebuilding. Drawing from my ongoing experience, I walk you through each stage, sharing how I've weathered the storm of immediate crisis, faced the emptiness that loss leaves behind, and am slowly finding my way through the rebuilding phase. I discuss the overwhelming waves of grief that threaten to pull us under, and the various ways I'm learning to stay afloat while honoring this profound loss. This episode is different from our usual content – it's raw, it's real, and it comes from a place of processing rather than polished conclusions. If you're walking through your own grief journey, know that you're not alone in these feelings, and there's no "right way" to move through loss. This isn't just about doing less—it's about being more present in everything we choose to do. When we release the grip of should's and must's, we create space for something deeper to emerge. Through personal stories and reflections, we'll unpack how intentionality isn't just a practice—it's a complete paradigm shift that touches every aspect of our lives, from the way we work to the way we rest. This episode is an invitation to question the pace at which you're living and to discover what becomes possible when you choose to move through life with conscious awareness rather than automatic pilot. Allow yourself to feel it all

In this raw and vulnerable episode, we open the door to the grief, anger, and emotion surrounding the election results. Rather than offering answers or debating the issues, I'm inviting you to do the courageous work of feeling it all. Too often, we try to bypass the difficult emotions, pushing them down or distracting ourselves. But the only way through is to move with, not against, this potent energy. Join me as I encourage you to let the grief, sadness, and even rage wash over you. This episode is for anyone who is struggling to make sense of the election results. It's for the woman who is tired of the noise and ready to go inward, to reckon with and release the emotions that have been weighing her down. Remember, your feelings are valid. And by allowing yourself to feel them fully, you open the door to deeper wisdom, resilience, and the capacity to create real change. Tune in and let the healing begin.
