S01 Ep 04 Meet the teacher with Nicky Hadjithoma
Welcome to Your Yin Moment !In this episode, We Meet the Teacher, we’re honoured to sit down with Nicky Hadjithoma - Founder of Yintelligence School of Yin & Functional Yoga - an internationally renowned senior teacher and one of the pivotal voices behind the evolution of yin yoga in Asia and beyond. Nicky is known for her many years as Lead Yin Yoga Trainer at PURE Yoga, and for her close mentorship with Jo Phee, under whom she apprenticed for nearly a decade to become one of the few educators worldwide endorsed to teach the original Paul Grilley curriculum. With seventeen years immersed in recovery and wellness and fourteen years as a full-time teacher, Nicky brings exceptional depth, clarity, and lived experience to her teaching. Nicky’s journey into yoga began as a path of healing, one that supported her mental health, long-term addiction recovery, and profound personal transformation. Today, her work bridges functional anatomy, skeletal variation, Eastern philosophy, and psycho-spiritual inquiry, empowering students to practice with intelligence, compassion, and resilience. In today's podcast, we explore the human behind the teacher, Nicky’s story, her philosophy, and the heart of her Yintelligence work, offering insight into how yin yoga can be a powerful tool for emotional intelligence, inclusivity, and inner growth. S01 Ep03 Meet the teacher with Carly Isleb
Welcome to another episode meeting the teacher! This week we meet Carly Isleb, one of my class partners during the YTT and someone with who I share a very similar path. Carly is a Yoga Alliance–certified 200-hour yoga teacher and founder of @carly.moves.studio She left her full-time job to pursue teaching movement full-time because she believe deeply in its power to support both body and mind. She currently teaches in Manchester, CT (USA) at The Zen Den and at Club Studio in South Windsor, CT, where she guides a variety of classes including yoga, hot Pilates, rebound, reformer Pilates, and HIIT. In addition to studio classes, she offers online programs, live virtual classes, and private sessions, creating multiple ways for people to move in a way that works for their lives.Carly beliefs that movement should feel supportive, not intimidating, and her approach is rooted in helping people feel strong, capable, and at ease—without pressure to perform or look a certain way.
