Zach Pohl
by Zach Pohl
Zach Pohl pursues his passion for songwriting with a childlike enthusiasm and grown-up commitment. He began as a solo acoustic artist in 2008 with nothing more than a handful of songs and a hopeful heart. Soon after recording a demo, a live album and two studio albums (Zachary Scott Pohl Band/Back to Zero) Zach took his recordings on the road and toured the continental United States for four years. Ah yes, the glories of music, adventure and living in a car for months on end. The annual tours stopped when the car got sick but that didn't stop Zach in his Ahab-like monomaniacal quest for truth, melody and lyric. So, where do we find Zach Pohl today?Currently Zach is in the studio recording and releasing a single per month for 2020. The new singles reveal a musician aged with practice and a songwriter steeped in life experience.

You And Me
I hope with all of my heart that this song inspires togetherness. Although this song will always help me feel more in love with my wife I actually wrote it for all of us to realize that we're all in this together. I'll be here for you...always. My buddy Mark Lafon really shows you what he can do with a guitar. Thanks to Bill Larkin on bass and Russell Cunningham on drums. I absolutely love how this song turned out! If you've ever loved anyone in anyway this song is for you.... well, its actually meant for all of us! Here's the lyrics! You and Me When the wind forgets to blow and the stars won't shine no more there will always, there will always be you and me When the oceans turn to mud and life's treasures begin to rust there will always, there will always be you and me When you need me call me I'll come running there ain't nothing, there ain't nothing I won't do for you Where you lead me I will follow until there is no tomorrow as far as i can see there will always, there will always be you and me When the music fails to play and darkness rules the day there will always, there will always be you and me When our eyes refuse to see and this cruel world sets us free there will always, there will always be you and me When you need me call me I'll come running there ain't nothing, there ain't nothing I won't do for you Where you lead me I will follow until there is no tomorrow as far as i can see there will always, there will always be you and me

Mr. Clock
When I was a kid I used to daydream all of the time. Some of my favorite places to explore my imagination were in the sandbox or on my tire swing. All of this dreaming eventually led me to songwriting and living a life on the road. When I returned home to North Texas after three years in Austin and three years touring the continental United States. Some dreams come true. This song is for anyone who has dreams. Yes, they are worth chasing! Here'e the lyrics Mr. Clock He's dreaming as he's swinging in the backyard on the tire swing leaning back laughing, living, loving life he dreamed of all that he could be He's playing in the sandbox He said, "What I'm gonna be when I grow up? Luke Skywalker or a firefighter or maybe an icthyologist Tick tock, tick tock These are the words of Mister Clock What words will you have to say When all your time has ticked away? He went to college to grab the knowledge He took his first job that Autumn They put him in a suit and a cubicle Where he's allowed to have a cactus Five years later Climbing that corporate ladder A wife two kids a brand new home and a gently used Mercedes Tick tock, tick tock These are the words of Mister Clock What words will you have to say When all your time has ticked away? He's older, grown colder Got the weight of the world on his shoulders His wife is gone, his kids are grown and He's feeling sad and lonely He's sighing and he's crying He said, "Never did fight those fires. I forgot all about icthyology and all my other dreams Tick tock, tick tock These are the words of Mister Clock What words will you have to say When all your time has ticked away? Tick tock, tick tock These are the words of Mister Clock What words will you have to say When all your time has ticked away? and the tears fall down as tears will do We got so much left to do before we're through. We got so much left to do before we're through. Find and chase your dreams and follow through whatever you do... We go so much left to do... Tick tock, tick tock These are the words of Mister Clock What words will you have to say When all your time has ticked away? and the tears fall down as tears will do

Hidden Faces
Wow...this is a big one. This song was written about becoming more vulnerable about my own mental health in effort to raise awareness about the importance of mental health for everyone. I paired up with Ariana Ortiz to collaborate this sensitive subject. The entire song was written in about fortyfive minutes. A month later we recorded it. If you can in any way relate to emotionally unstable times first hand or second hand or if you're just a little sensitive this dynamic duet might be right up your alley. Hidden Faces I find it easy to find the light in the faces you hide behind If you looked like the things you've been through I would fight with you Hidden Faces These hidden faces were raised to erase all this pain How can I change who I am if I don't know who I am Embracing these changes that break just like waves on the sand Serenity is in such high demand I'd better change while I can Hidden Faces

Majesty of Song
Majesty of Song is a song written to memorialize the North Texas (Collin County)songwriters Rusty Wier (verse one) Ronny Spears (verse two) and Jay Johnson (verse three). I fell into a fantastic musical family at Love and War in Texas in Plano, TX and these talented wordsmiths and musicians and vocalists and cowboys and drunkards and listeners...you get the idea. Everyone had stories about Rusty, Ronny and Jay. Real stories. How they felt. Why they cried. How much they miss them still. If you knew any of these songwriters or the community they left behind then this is a great song for you Here's the lyrics Majesty of Song I heard your stories, they sound so familiar about your dancing and your falling and your Silly Rhymes For all the times I tried there's countless faltered footsteps so I put myself upon the stage cause I know you did the same Ten years ago, I think I shook your hand once Since then I heard your memory and the melody of Concrete and Steel Thank you kindly for all the inspiration and reminding me of how music makes us feel I heard you say you're Inside Out Well, I know what that's about If you stood here with me now you'd show me how to hold my head up high and stay strong You'd speak to me through the majesty of song I never met you but I hear we're the same kind of person and that scares me cause right now I feel so all alone for all the tears I cried there's millions more inside me bu I fight them and I hide them so the world won't stare at me. I heard you say you're Inside Out Well, I know what that's about If you stood here with me now you'd show me how to hold my head up high and stay strong You'd speak to me through the majesty of song
