What was Jacob’s Ladder?
The account of Jacob’s Ladder in Genesis 28:10–22 is one of the most fascinating and profound moments in the Old Testament. This vision, in which Jacob dreams of a ladder or stairway connecting heaven and earth, is not only a personal encounter between Jacob and God, but it also carries deep theological meaning for God’s people throughout Scripture. In this event, God reaffirms the covenant promises made to Jacob’s forefathers, Abraham and Isaac, but he also provides a unique revelation about his divine presence and plan to restore humanity to communion with him.Article read from: https://g3min.org/what-was-jacobs-ladder/
More Than ‘Love is Love’: Rediscovering God’s True Love in Christ
Endurance For A Better Life
In our church, we elders have just finished preaching through the book of Hebrews over the course of many months. One thing that has struck me is the inevitability of suffering, which is why enduring faith is so necessary. But I am fearful that most Christians today are not prepared for the inevitable suffering to come. Instead, many Christians today expect that if they are living for Christ faithfully, they should expect victory and comfort.

Is it “Hyper-Cessationism” to believe that God doesn’t lead through visions, dreams, and impressions?
Recently, Ryan Denton wrote an article on Reformation21 that is making a bit of a stir online titled, “What is a Hyper-Cessationist?” Denton is convinced that modern cessationism has gone beyond the cessationism of the past and “has become a thick, wet blanket used to smother anything that smacks of the supernatural.” This is what he calls “hyper-cessationism.” I’ve seen Denton label R. Scott Clarke with this moniker, and, more recently, G3.
Five Reasons Why Women Should Marry
Once upon a time, little girls dreamed of their wedding day, imagining themselves in white dresses, carrying flower bouquets, and walking down the aisle to meet the man of their dreams. It was a fairytale vision of love and companionship. But in today’s world, that dream has morphed into what many women now see as a nightmare.
No Creed But The Bible
One of the central battled cries of the sixteenth-century Protestant Reformation was Sola Scripture—Scripture Alone! The Reformers rightly criticized the Roman Catholic Church’s elevation of church tradition to the level of Scripture, instead insisting that “neither the Church nor the pope can establish articles of faith. These must come from Scripture” (Martin Luther).
Does Music Have Meaning?
Meaning in music is a tricky thing. Most people think it’s tricky because music is so abstract and lacks specificity such that describing its meaning with words is nearly impossible. On the contrary, meaning in music is tricky for exactly the opposite reason.Read the full article here: https://g3min.org/does-music-have-meaning/

On Earth as It Is in Heaven
When we witness terrible atrocities on earth, we must interpret them in light of the heavenly reality. Heaven is a palace from which God rules sovereign over all, and heaven is a temple where he is worshiped as he ought. This is the reality. How, then, do these visions of God in his heavenly palace/temple impact our understanding of what happens here on earth? To read this article, visit https://g3min.org/on-earth-as-it-is-in-heaven.
Interpreting Earth in Light of Heaven
You don’t have to turn on the news or visit a news web site very long to get very depressed. We live in a day of despair, threat of war, violence, murder, poverty, sickness, abortion, waning morality, injustice, and racial tensions. Even from the perspective of the unbelieving world, things look pretty bleak. But, contrary to what we might think, this is nothing new.To read this article, visit https://g3min.org/interpreting-earth-in-light-of-heaven.
The Son of God Goes Forth to War
Many Christians struggle over whether we should be singing imprecatory psalms in our current age of grace. Should we be singing, "Blessed shall he be who takes your little ones and dashes them against the rock" (Ps 137:9)? One major theme in the book of psalms that helps us to understand why we should sing imprecatory psalms is affirmation of the sovereign rule of God over all things.
The Lord Reigns
One key reason Christians shy away from some of the psalms is the sometimes violent imprecatory language found in them. In this article, Scott Aniol explains that psalms like these are deeply rooted in confidence that God is the Sovereign King of Kings, and therefore to sing them helps form within us a hope-filled longing for the Return of the King.
Cessationist: Behind the Scenes
Recently, Kevin Hay had the opportunity to talk to the makers of Cessationist to get a behind the scenes look at the film’s creation, and to hear why the focus of this movie should be important for all believers. David Lovi (Writer), Les Lanphere (Director), and Tim Cannon (Producer) were kind enough to share their thoughts with me on the significance of this project, ahead of its upcoming release.
Why Christian Faithfulness?
Why is it so important to have our motivation right about how we live in society? Why is it important that we don’t try to motivate ourselves and others with grand ambitions of societal transformation?
Women, Theology, and the Great Commission
In recent days, certain voices have been questioning whether or not women should read, study, and teach the Bible. What exactly is God’s design for women in this world? Josh Buice answers this important question considering that a great number of people don’t know how to define a woman, much less understand God’s design for women in the home, the church, and the secular sphere.

The Flood Matters
In this article, Josh Buice explains how the global flood recorded in Genesis 6–9 provides the answers to many questions surrounding the formation of the Grand Canyon. Ultimately, the flood matters because it demonstrates the reality of God’s wrath, but it also provides a wealth of evidence in the aftermath proving that the common evolutionary theory is simply not true.
Christ's Commission to His Church
Churches as formal, local institutions have been given a very specific, singular mission in this age, best articulated in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19–20. You can read this article here.
The Beginning Matters: Why the Attacks on Genesis Should Be Taken Seriously
I have never struggled with the historicity of Genesis 1–11, the miracles of Genesis 1–2, or the judgment of God in a global flood as recorded in Genesis 6–9, but as I flew up out of the Grand Canyon on the seventh day by helicopter, I was reminded of how important the beginning of our Bible is and why we as Christians should take it seriously. The God of Fun
Fun is seemingly the unquestioned, undisputed right of children. Learning at school must be fun, and curricula are now judged on how much fun they make the learning process. But when do we teach our children that God is not fun?

On the Relationship of Faith and Works
If people are saved by grace through faith alone, then where do good works fit in? If salvation is by grace alone, then won't Christians live lawless lives?

Coming of Age Ceremonies Can Help Your Adolescent Children Become Adults
Various communities around the world and throughout time have marked the transition of a child into an adult with rituals and ceremonies, possibly the most well-known of these being the bar mitzvah in Jewish communities. Historically, age thirteen is when a child comes of age and enters a period of training for adulthood. For Christians, this can be a wonderful opportunity to stimulate a young man or woman toward Christian maturity.
