Black On Both Sides Episode #142 I am fresh off of a Jamaican vacation. Kunta's favorite getaway is Jamaica, but I didn't get the same vibes. On this trip I had an epiphany of all inclusive resorts. Kunta spent the weekend inebriate adjacent and still managed to pull off a headache. He defeated this with his Sunday brunch of items that would normally contribute to a heart attack all on their own being grouped together in a Frankenstein' Burger. Justice Brown was accepted and is most likely the most qualified justice of all time. This didn't sway the Republicans from not supporting her. One after one they spoke of her greatness and qualifications just before they mentioned that they would not be supporting her. Kunta is well on his way to being a better version of himself. You can even hear it in his voice. His self help books and new wake-up regimen has show results. Kunta wants to let the world know. I also went to an in-law’s house and Kunta is offended for them that I didn’t eat. I do not eat at other people’s houses. Please don’t be offended. And please do still invite me. Much to everyone’s surprise the defendants were convicted on all counts. The country takes a loud and intentional exhale. Black On Both Sides Episode #134 Kunta takes his opportunity to drag me over the Cowboys v Falcons matchup. True fans do not bail on their team when they are in the dumps. Atlanta fans have gotten used to the inconsistencies of our teams. So there will be no bailing. But let's all think back to when "Them Boys" were not so good and Kunta didn't even want to say their names on this podcast. Kunta is on a journey to find daily balance. He plans to wake up early and sort his day before most of us are even considering hitting snooze. How do you feel about all of the VIPs of the world having a strict up at 5 am method to life? Is this what is necessary to become highly successful? Two trials are currently in session. The Arbury murder trial and the Rittnehouse trial. Soulja Boy and Bow Wow can’t work out the deal. So that probably won’t happen. And comedians are now taking to the beef battle model and setting up Comedy verzuz. Did you know there was an uptick in Jewish hate crimes? Apparently, there is. How does anyone hate anyone in this new world of inclusion and gender neutrality? Some guy in Minnesota shot his wife and a couple fo black people. Then shot many shots at the police officers that came to arrest him. Surprisingly, the man was taken into custody with no harm. Kunta feels like this is gross misconduct in light of the young man that died of asphyxiation in Rochester, NY. One man was black and one man was white. I will let you guess which is which. Black On Both Sides Episode #97 Rest in peace to our first mainstream black super hero. Chadwick Boseman lost his battle with cancer and the world was shocked because we didn’t know he was sick. We all know what Marvel means to Kunta, but the world felt this loss. 17 year olds should not carry AR-15s. In fact, it is illegal to carry one. However, Kyle did. In the process of carrying this weapon, he killed two people and injured another. Why was he even in a state that he did not live in? Do we need a militia to protect businesses? Why wasn’t he arrested the night of the shootings? Many questions here. Do we think that a proper investigation will be had? I want to separate protesters from rioters and law enforcement from militia. I don’t think these groups should be considered the same thing, nor do I think the former should suffer for the latter’s negligence and/or criminality. But was the militia perceiving that police supported their movement? Were they actually supporting it? Lastly and most importantly, how do we feel about the Jacob Blake shooting? What warrants the use of deadly force? Was there enough of that in this scenario to excuse the police from opening fire? Kunta cites a case that provides precedent against this shooting. Oprah came to her rescue with tears and an excuse. But Kunta thinks this is only due to her conspiracy against black men. All of the black men she has attempted to burn at the stake, while seemingly turning a blind eye to friend and alleged rapist Weinstein. Why hasn’t an expose about him come about? Is there a shady backstory to their connection that prevents that truth from coming out? Did anyone watch the oscars? Episode #54 Shorter is obviously better. Kunta admits that I would be better suited for a Cross-Fit Championship than he would. I believe this is true in life overall. Episode #52 Did the moon landing happen? Did it happen but on a later date? Who knows? I just don’t understand what the government has to gain by lying to us. R Kelly is amidst his day of reckoning. I concede. This man is clearly headed up the river very soon. They keep uncovering new evidence that will keep him in jail until the kids he molested can order off of the senior menu. N one wants to drink the remnants of your spit. Episode #50 Happy 4th of July. I am proud to be an American. I think Kunta is too, even though he pretends to hate it. I worked the Friday after. Kunta worked the Friday after. Im guessing that most people did. If they were to tally up how many hours were dedicated to actually work, the stock market would have crashed. Kunta is so excited to report that the Trump celebration was a disaster. This included Trump spitting off of the dome when his teleprompter stopped working. The only thing funnier than a normal Trump speech is a freestyle. Luckily my cohost was not devoured by a large land opening during last weeks earthquake. I forgot to check on him. So we are all lucky that he showed up for work today. He had to come to the show to make his claim that women’s soccer players should be payed as much if not more than mens soccer players. No. Way. Point blank and period. Women’s sports, especially soccer is exciting, but does not get nearly enough impressions to warrant increase in pay. Im not even sure how we got there but we start talking about wrestling. Apparently, Kunta is not just a nerd for comics. He also catches feelings when wrasslers bite it. Yet, he is not offended when a young white woman gets her masters bought by another person. The DNC debate happened and just like we knew she would Kamala shined. Maybe it is true what they say about absence. I am just glad to be back from the Dominican Republic, How would you guys have liked BOBS without me to keep Kuntas feet on the ground? This weeks epsiode was a hodgepodge of things. Somewhere along the way we talked about both Nicki and Cardi, The Hawks and the Lakers, Soap and toothpaste. The border and drugs. most importantly, drugs. Kunta and I both are interested in the god molecule. It cant be a coincidence that many people have such a similar experience. Either way. the experience is nothing that you are used to. Perhaps those parallel dimensions have something to say. Just know that if we ever get to host a RareSonance Vacation, you will probably meet inter-dimensional beings there.

We have to talk GOT andhow we both ended up being frustrated with the quick death of the Night King and the unexplained “life” he lived. Maybe the prequel will have time to explain all of it. Seems like if they had produced a full 10 episode season they could have fit in the explanations to why “Winter Is Coming” was even important. SHAME, G.O.T.!!! Endgame came out and nerds everywhere rejoiced. KingKunta supports everything about the movie and tried to convince me why I should rejoice too. It had something to do with watching 21 other movies about this stuff. So chances are, I will never rejoice. Did The Game shoot a shot? Did Taylor Swift buzz the hive for ideas? Is Breezy MJ and Pac rolled into one backflip? Did WuTang really get a street? HAs Kellz pissed off the Feds? LA lost another child as John Singleton’s family took him off of life support. we discuss which movie was our favorite and why. Trump and Putin met to discuss whether there was collusion between their parties during our election. Any idea what they decided? Is anyone shocked? I don’t understand how Kunta gets shocked by this president and his antics so often. I know that he keeps telling me that the sky is falling. Speaking of phenoms…Tiger has done it again. This time 43 and with a bad back, but done it, he has. Another green jacket and another step closer to the record. Sadly, we weren’t able to digest the ramifications before we had to record. We didn’t have all of the details and didn’t have time to clearly prepare our position. However, we had to speak on it. So anything we miss, is purely timing and not negligence. From the outside looking in, it may appear that this man was a neighborhood miscreant and gangbanger. But many knew that he was a dad, business man, entrepreneur, and community activist that had separated himself from his rough beginnings. Thoughts and prayers to his family. Young Dolph and Keyshawn Johnson move in very different ways. Some people can’t get robbed no matter how hard they try and others lose half a million at Cracker Barrel. R. Kelly gets out and it’s all because of a daycare owner who used her wrongful death settlement money as collateral. What’s worse…her daughter being memorialized by bailing out Kellz, or the fact that she is supposed to be protecting kids at her job and released a alleged child molester? What’s Real Cohen had a big day but I didn’t get the info. I watched it, but had to mute the sound due to being at work. Apparently, the Republicans didn’t hear it either as they decided to #muteCohen at every turn. Is Cohen a dirtbag? Yes. Is his testimony likely tainted? Yes. But does he know where the bodies are buried? Most likely. Did Republicans have any questions for him? No. Kunta went on a Cohen deep dive about reimbursements and racism. I have trouble connecting the dots as to how this will really affect Trump enough to put him behind bars. Only time will tell. He feels like this is as much a sign of racism as any other we have discussed. Meanwhile Trump flies off to meet with the Korean Dictator and gets nowhere. Episode #34 Black History month is almost over. And what a turbulent one we have had this year. Obama has been out and about this month and even made time for some NCAA rivalry. He was courtside to see Zion explode out of his shoe. Was this poor craftsmanship or a 300 pound man-child doing what he does to all of his clothes…Or was Obama to blame??? Jussie gets caught up and we can’t determine how to punish him. Obviously, there is wrong doing, but how many non brown people have done this type of thing? In some cases, brown people were even hurt or killed in the process. Lets keep the same energy and figure out a equal punishment for this guy. Fresh off of a Super Bowl win, Robert Kraft is caught getting a happy ending. Meanwhile fresh off of a 14 year old body part, Robert Kelly finds himself inside a jail cell. The U.S. has real enemies. Some are more real than others. Kunta feels like Russia is the most real due to Trump’s actions around Putin. I happen to believe this could all be chess and there is no reason to wet the bed. The fear is that Russia, like China, is a real threat because they own oarts of our economy. Do not participate in the Beast first. Much to Kunta’s chagrin, white people saved him from many deaths along the way. For a small packet of mustard, Kunta will scream All Lives Matter. But he won’t be screaming at Ashanti’s concert because it was canceled. More people showed up to punish themselves at the Spartan beast than purchased tickets to one of her shows. Episode #17 Kunta is not feeling this week's serving of Atlanta music. The releases from Quavo and Usher have mixed reviews. I have given up on music, so I never listen early. I have many releases that have collected dust because I still haven't removed the bubble wrap. I am just not inspired by today's music. I was riding today in the fall weather with the windows down listening to music. The Monster record by Kanye came on and it was like hip-hop nirvana. Well recorded, hard beat, mastered a little hot...but still banging. Records don't do that anymore. But Kunta still has no love for Kanye. So much so that for simply sitting next to him, Kunta has banished Jim Brown, as well. Forget that the man has a storied history in activism. We don't want to hear it, sir. But Wayne did drop and it was everything we all hoped it would be (Except for that Swizz Beats record). (And that Mannie Fresh record). But other than that it will one day be regarded as a classic. Kunta feels like this is just more subterfuge to take away from the fact that the young winner is black. If you are in your apartment in Dallas; and that apartment just happens to be located near a police officer's apartment; you could die. I wish that were a joke. Police Officers in Dallas are allowed to mistake someone else's home for their own and then kill the person who lives in that hoe for breaking and entering. Still waiting on charges. Episode #7 Trump and Putin meet and discuss some things. We have no idea what. It was a secret. However, what we do know is that during a press conference after their secret meeting, we learned a lot. One of them being that Trump is most likely the equivalent to a lap dog for Putin. As you know, I am always trying to spot the silver lining. There is none. And even though, I will not submit to the falling sky scenario that Kunta loves spreading, I will say that Trump is clearly not the man he said he was. Kunta tells the story of his coworker calling him a ninja. Now under normal circumstances, this would be a compliment to Kunta (seeing as he is a complete ninja nerd). This time, however, it was used as a replacement for the N word...and his coworker is white.

Believe it or not, he actually has to show support for one of Trump’s decisions. He agrees with his decision to appoint Brett Kavanaugh as a new justice of the Supreme Court. You may need to read that again especially if you listened to the previous episode where he promoted the idea that Trump’s appointee would repeal and undo all that is right in the world. Who needs NATO? Kunta does. I have long since given up on the power of its reach. Far too many times, I have witnessed us (Americans) being the arms, legs, and head of NATO. Episode #5 The EPA is cleaning house and KingKunta's happiness is short-lived as he realizes that the man slated to take Pruitt's place is a former coal lobbyist. Need I say that coal is obviously on the comeback trail? Either way, Pruitt was not the right guy for the job. We can both agree on that. But the show isn't over. We completely disagree on the border issues that still plague this administration. I totally see the issue with having to solve the border issue as being a complex one. KingKunta feels like triage is necessary when it comes to the kids. The first goal should be to right the wrongs of orphaning these kids. I would prefer to fix the underlying issue first.
