#154 - Caught In Two Minds | Crystal Palace 0 - 2 Arsenal | Off To A Great Start
After a great break, The Arsenal got back to action on Friday. So here we are, back to action as well. This game was the opening game of the Premier League, and millions would watch the only pitch with action. The Gunners delivered a hard fought win at Crystal Palace, including a clean sheet. Our MOM were both defensive selections, and that’s a positive thing. Goals from Martinelli and Saka (called an own goal) were the goals for the 2-0 win. The team was crisp, closing down the ball, and the back line was stout. Top of table is a great start to the season! Thanks for the support and leave a comment on whether you agree. That’s it folks! It was a roller coaster ride of a season, but what a finish! A 5-1 stomping to a recently safe Everton team. We mostly reflect on the season and give some praise where we felt worthy. Then we have some wishes going forward. Answering the question; Are you proud of this season? It’s been interesting and fun. I think the documentary on this season will be a great watch. Cheers to all the supporters! Maybe a random podcast during the summer, but these 2 grateful guys are ready for a break.

This is not ending the way we all hoped. The team is tired and thin. Losing today at Newcastle was a hard watch. They completely bulldozed The Arsenal. The back line was not fit. There was no answer by Arteta’s side. What else We can say? So we are joking and singing our way through this episode. Just trying to keep it together. One game to go and a miracle needs to happen for the top 4 now. Do you believe in miracles?
151 - Caught In Two Minds | Tottenham 3 - 0 Arsenal
The NLD did not go to plan for The Arsenal. High energy wasn’t the problem. Is there such a thing as too high of energy? Was this the right attitude against a good counter-attacking team? The overriding theme is that the Ref absolutely trashed this London Classic. Playing aggressive to calling the ticky-tack (by Derby standards) was how injected himself into this match. Shame on The Prem and double shame on the Refs. Even though today was disappointing, Arsenal is still 1 point ahead of Tottenham with 2 to play. Finish the job, boys! #COYG
150 - Caught In Two Minds | Arsenal 2 - 1 Leeds
My fellow Arsenal fans, the stars, seem to align. Another hard fought victory against Leeds Utd. 2-1 was the score line but Leeds didn’t even take a shot on goal for 65 minutes. What looked comfortable with Leeds down to 10 men turned into a minor threat towards the end. There was a ton of praise for the team's ability to keep closing out these tight results. Nketiah has hit his best run as a Gunner. Odegaard was masterful and Martinelli delivered a beautiful assist. One big lineup shift and it seemed to work for both fullbacks. The North London derby on Thursday can be a clinching game for Arsenal ending its six-year absence in Champions League play. #COYG
#149 - Caught In Two Minds | West Ham 1 - 2 Arsenal
Following 3 losses with 3 wins against top Premier League rivals is the way to enter the last 4 fixtures. Arsenal are winning the games that count most and on days like Sunday when the team didn’t look sharp, the fans must praise the “never-say-die” attitude. Ramsdale was on his head. Tomiyasu returns to the starting lineup. Nketiah never stopped running and Mo was a top professional in the midfield. The 2 CB put it in the net, including Holding’s first Premier League goal for Arsenal in his 6 years with the club! A week off until Leeds Utd. and then the biggest NLD in years after. Arsenal are charging and that leads to the looming question of the 2nd half of the season… Can Arsenal make the top 4?

Well, here we are with 5 fixtures left and a North London Derby on the horizon. This was another impressive win for The Arsenal over Man Utd. Goals from Nuno, Saka and…..wait for it…..Xhaka with a thunderbolt to seal the game. A bit of luck, but the team truly earned 2nd victory in 4 days over huge rivals. The young Nuno gets some time for this episode. And the inevitable ongoing question: Will Arsenal get top 4 and return to Champions League play after a 6 years' absence?

There were some changes to the lineup for the biggest fixture of the year. Whatever talks that Arteta gave the squad, it seem to fire the boys up. We talk about the energy and commitment today in the 4-2 victory by Arsenal. Nketiah got his second start in a row and he delivered a great performance scoring twice. We made sure to praise Xhaka and Odegaard amongst others. Moving forward with this type of hustle is key. Can Arsenal show up early Saturday with the same energy?

Crystal Palace has been a tough fixture, and they handed it to Arsenal today. A team full of guys that are built like Patrick Vieira and we suspect he’s recruiting in South Chicago. Injuries will for sure play a big role in the weekly question… Can Arsenal finish in the top 4?

We have some honest takes on some performances in the 2-0 loss to Liverpool. It's not that we should be disappointed, but there were a few uninspired performances. Maybe they played tight? Liverpool had poise and the Title in reach. Martinelli was superb and just needed someone/anyone on the end of them. 1 more game until the break against Villa. Who would you start at, Striker?

The Foxes were never ready for this Arsenal! Flying around the pitch, the team was confident and disciplined. Martinelli pushed the line and understands his role completely. Partey with the header to get himself a goal... Finally! He has also settled in nicely and is becoming the beast that we hoped. "Progress is tangible" and top 4 looks like a real possibility. Praise for Arteta and the process. Do we have the best youngsters in Premier League? The numbers say so! Is the game against Liverpool on Wednesday a sign of where Arsenal truly is? Maybe?

It’s getting down to crunch time and Arsenal answers the bell again! 3 wonderful goals by our wonder kids. Which goal was your favorite? Odegaard is settling in to the Premier League’s pace and physical play. Saka is turning dominant and, dare we say, Arsenal has developed an identity and style of attacking. The attacking actually carried the team today. Arteta has created a mentality that has put them in position to make The Champions League! Who else is ready for European Nights?

We wanted energy with composure. One of those was definitely on display. The Gunners won in late time with a class strike from Pepé and a late shot/pass/own goal from Lacazette. This is where the excitement began in this episode. These two scorers end up at the center of the debate between the two of us. Arsenal win 2-1! There’s still some floundering on whether Top 4 is a possibility. For all the Gooners, today was a good day!

#136 - Caught In Two Minds | Arsenal Get Dyche'd
The performance was lacking by the Gunners. There were players missing from injury and stupid red cards. The fact is, there is no excuse for this performance against 20th place Burnley. Dyche was proud of his bruisers that beat up the Gunners. A draw isn’t the worse result. So why does it feel like a defeat? The consensus is that Arsenal didn’t start playing until the 60th minute. Not good enough, once again.

The effort looked lackluster. The FA Cup must not have been a priority with Arteta? There're some questions we ask in this quick episode about Arsenal’s depth and whether any player put in a good shift. Arsenal is out of the FA Cup and it seemed to be with no big fight.
#134 - Caught In Two Minds - Arsenal 1-2 Man City | The Ref Ruined A Great Game
Today is not the most cheerful New Year's celebration after being gutted by the ref and VAR. The Arsenal battled hard and never gave up. Saka the Starboy scored a one-timer and Arsenal looked up for the match. The ref changed everything, and that is never a good thing in a huge match. We lost. We played with 10 men and never stopped until the whistle. There were many outstanding performances, and it hurt to lose 1-2.
133 - Caught In Two Minds | Norwich City 0-5 Arsenal | Boxing Day Beat Down
Today on the podcast Uncle E talks about Arsenal's 5 nil victory over bottom dwellers, Norwich City. E. talks about Ben White's versatility and his performance filling in at right-back. Partey and Xhaka have had a switch in mentality and approach for Arsenal and Uncle E. is loving it. They also gave some predictions about the lineups for the second leg of the semifinal Europa league match against Villarreal.

Arsenal traveled to Spain to take on Villarreal in the Europa League semi-final first leg. Arteta showed his lack of coaching experience when he went with a false #9. The Gunners barely put a shot on target in the first half and gave a goal away within the first five minutes of the match. If it wasn't for a Villarreal melt down halfway through the second half, the tie would have been over, but as usual Arteta and Arsenal get lucky and score an away goal. There is still hope for the Gunners, but if the defensive mistakes continue, the return leg is going to be nerve racking.

E notice it took a while for Arsenal to get going, but once they did, the match turned into a dominating first half for Arsenal. Fitz raved about Emile Smith-Rowe's development and mentioned he thought ESR had a higher ceiling than Bukayo Saka. The two hosts heaped praise on Lacazette's professionalism and technique, and Fitz awarded him the man of the match. Tremendous result for Arsenal who now take on Villareal and Unai Emery in the next round of the Europa League for a spot in the finals.
