That no matter what the man does, growth happens automatically. The parable goes on to say, “it’s as though the soil itself produced the grain somehow.” (Mark 4:28, The Voice) We learn through this parable and many other verses referred to in this podcast that increase in the Kingdom is organic; that God is a God of increase and He brings it forth in our lives. This Is Me, Part 2
This is Me Part 2 The story of the woman caught in the act of adultery in John 8 gives us a great picture of all the different perceptions that we face on a daily basis. In this story, there was the opinion of those who were doing the stoning, the opinion of the crowd, and the opinion of Jesus. However, the only opinion that matters in that moment is the one the woman chooses to agree with. What she chooses to believe is what will form her paradigm. Will she believe that she is not worthy of life? Will she believe that she doesn’t matter or isn’t worth standing up for? Or will she believe she is worthy, highly valued and deeply loved? We think that story hinges on Jesus’s answer about whether or not she should be stoned, but the reality of how her life moves forward actually hinges on what she chooses to believe. You see, even if the whole world sees our value, it still means nothing if we don’t see it for ourselves. Part 2 of This is Me takes you beyond just understanding your core beliefs about who you are, your God design; it challenges you to fall in love with your God design… to the point where you enforce that design in your life. Lisa uses many Scriptures to show you the importance of guarding your design and putting a demand on the promises of God in your life. It is time to go beyond waiting on God and understand the authority He has given through Jesus to more confidently navigate your life into your dreams and passions. But it starts with seeing the beauty and value of your own life. This Is Me, Part 1
This is Me Part 1 No doubt The Greatest Showman inspired all of us with its theme of loving who you are, no matter the perception of the world. It presents the idea of being willing to go against the grain, challenging status quo with no concern for the world’s paradigm. I believe the song, This is Me was a hit because it gives permission to be proud of who you are and the beauty of your creation. The lyrics declare that there IS indeed purpose for everyone just as you are…no matter how different it is from what we would consider “normal.” Look out 'cause here I come And I'm marching on to the beat I drum I'm not scared to be seen I make no apologies, this is me. This is more than just “I’m ok with me” but rather it is a celebratory song that declares the confidence of who I am. This is God’s desire for you and me. To love the Creator is to celebrate the creation! In part 1 of this podcast, I teach on how your core beliefs predetermine what you perceive, your perspectives and ultimately form your paradigm or pattern of living. However, I fear that too often we let the paradigm of the world form our core beliefs and we become influenced BY the world instead of being influencers TO the world. To need a change of mind is to need a change of heart…and that starts with what you believe about who you are! Power of a Story
The Power of a Story When I was recently asked to give my testimony, I wanted to be sure that the audience didn’t walked away just learning about me, but rather learning about their own God possibilities. I wanted them to sense the stirrings of their own dreams within their hearts and imagine the power of their own stories; stories that were established before they were born… ordained and written in a book. (Psalm 139) Stories hold much power. They are more than just the giving of information; they are the sharing of realities and the presentation of possibilities. They prove that what could be, can be! Jesus Himself was a “master storyteller.” He knew how to grab the heart of His listeners and pull them into another world proclaiming over and over, “The Kingdom of heaven is like…” Through stories, He was drawing on the imagination of those around Him and inspiring them to consider something bigger than what they knew or could see. In telling these stories, Jesus was not giving information - He was recalling His own experiences of heaven, His story, thus expanding minds to consider God possibilities as human realities! I pray that as you listen to this podcast, you will sense the seed of your purpose stirring within you and that my story presents to you greater possibilities… and that what you have always wished could be, will be! Activate Your Breakthrough
Activate Your Breakthrough I think it is fair to say that we have all experienced times when we know God has promised something, but you just can’t get seem to breakthrough to your “promised land.” It is times like this that we are prone to discouragement, doubt, and weariness, to name a few. Simply put, waiting for a breakthrough can be so frustrating! Often times, in the waiting, we find ourselves in a situation where we feel “trapped” and see no way out. We feel like no matter what direction we turn, we can’t see the answer or a way to move forward. This podcast addresses those times when we begin to wane and feel stuck and victimized by our circumstances. Among the many definitions of the word breakthrough is, “an offensive military assault that penetrates and carries beyond the defensive line.” God encourages us in the Bible to remember that a breakthrough isn’t necessarily something that we wait for, but instead it is something we must activate by faith. This is what is means to be offensive…to take the authority that God gives to us through Jesus and “move mountains” through the act of celebrating what we know, instead of what we see. That means we praise Him for what we know as if it were already done…because remember, in the spirit, it IS established. Praise is one of the offensive tools that God has given to us to activate breakthrough. You will hear more about this in the podcast through the story of King Jehosaphat. It pushes the enemy back and “makes room” for forward to movement. One thing I have determined in times when I feel stuck is that I MUST maintain in a posture of praise. Praise doesn’t just activate breakthrough, but rather IS a breakthrough. Praising God for what I know instead of what I see puts a demand on Kingdom establishments and “calls what is not as though it were.” (Romans 4:17) I have learned, and am still learning that God has invited me to co-labor with Him in bringing forth what He has in mind for me. In moments when there seems to be no way, remember the rod of authority that has been handed to you to activate Kingdom establishments into your reality.
